I have no confidence in either of these guys. Everybody says Steven Ross is infatuated with signing Manning and they look like they barely have interest. I come to the conclusion Jeff Ireland is a bafoon he seems to always drag his feet we never make a quick response. I live in the Philly area and as much as I hate the eagles there front office always get what they want. I truly miss the Robbie and Shula Dolphins. We seem to be a joke of an organization.
 
Anyone remember what happened to Cardinal Wolsey when he wasn't able to that divorce for King Henry?

You'll get shellacked for being negative but I agree with you. Hell, I miss Wayne. At least he knew how to persuade the hell out of people.

Wayne did always get the coach he wanted for sure even if that worked out pretty badly. The bad thing about wayne he had no clue how to fire anybody and judging from last year Ross is not very good at it either
 
Oh yea, I miss dumbstadt and spielman they ran us into the ground. It was Wayne that made that happen.

I dont agree Wayne and Wanny ran anything into ground. Wanny had one losing season and was mediocre. I do think Cam was beginning of the major downfall and Parcells was there to finish the downfall.

wayne tried and failed to get pete carroll that one yr.
 
this will be a major black eye if they don't land Manning. You thought the stadium was empty last season???? Nothing like going after Peyton Manning and losing out; then turning around to stuff Matt Flynn down our throat. yikes!

i dont remember any serious negotiations but maybe I just dont remember lol, Ross failed both times to convince the coach he wanted to be our coach plus gave Sparano and extension so he has been painful in that regard

I admit Wanny had some horrible drafts but our second rounders have been pretty horrible with ireland.
White, merling, Henne. misi nothing special, were better players there when we took odrick, thomas nothing special.
This organization took a playoff team that they had and turned them into a 6-10 team because we got obsessed with widcat and such.
Taking Ginn, Beck and Booker is akin to one of worst drafts ever. I was blasted for hating that draft not to mention cutting one washed up qb to trade for another.


Long was a good pick but no excuse to miss with top pick(teams do it though)
