Mr. Ross write the check.....

he may be a great player, but our salary cap and history of paying free agents needs to start slowing down. Lets hope we can draft a couple LBs to fill our void. Still need money for some of our own home grown talent that are nearing the end of their deals.
 
The Browns lead the league in cap space no chance it happens.

The trade was not made with the thought to let him walk.
 
You going to want to give up the draft picks it will take after the tag him.
 
Enough with paying high priced free agents. This team should be built through the draft. The lack of young talent on this roster is a direct result of the philosophy of filling holes on the team with splashy free agent signings instead of accumulating quality home grown drafted players.
 
Didn't Bill trade this guy because he refused to follow his assignments and wanted more money than he was worth?
 
he's about to get paid by the browns....big time paid

i have a crazy idea....let's draft a talented player, develop them, and sign them to a reasonable contract early on in their career, and finally trade them just before they start to decline in ability??
