The return to Foxborough, Massachusetts, was not what Miami fans hoped for; another road shocker against the AFC East leading Patriots. And while the loss put the Dolphins at 3-5 for the season, there was much more to be said about Miami than their record.

The Dolphins have yet to defeat a legitimate team outside of the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills -one which is sporadic, another which is in shambles. They have competed with the San Diego Chargers, Indianapolis Colts, New Orleans Saints, and on Sunday the New England Patriots. In each of those games Miami had a chance to emerge on top, but failed to do so.

Simply put, almost does not cut it.

Fans realized that...

The future is bright for Miami, but nobody ever said success would not come with growing pains.

Double negative, complicated sentence.. but all in all I agree with the direction you were trying to go in.

Why is this a "road shocker"? There's nothing shocking about what happened today. We played a competitive road game against a top tier NFL team at a very difficult venue and lost by 10.

It is what it is.

Thanks for the feedback, but to understand you a bit more, what makes no sense to you in that sentence? The part where I mention the Jets and Bills after "have yet to defeat a legitimate team." Just want some clarification.

We look forward to more comments on future articles.

i hear the dolphins are already hard at work learning their new offense......

I think its your use of the word outside of. it sounds like your saying we beat 2 (different) legitimate teams but before that your saying we havent beat any legitimate teams.

I.E.

We havent beat any legitimate teams (outside of) = (except) the new york jets and buffalo bills

rest of the sentence makes your point clear but before you get to that i thought you were saying that those teams were legitimate when they obviosly not now.

If it works run it. :chuckle: but im pretty sure its only going to make things harder :ponder:

The Bills are bad...sooooo... why not just say the Dolphins have yet to beat a legitimate team outside the Jets?

I think you were trying to say that we've only beaten two teams, only one of which is a "legitimate" team.. which I'm assuming you mean is a team of quality caliber..
