We hear that Dolphins owner Wayne Huizenga's leap of faith in deciding to extend GM Randy Mueller's deal to 2010 came about because he desperately wants stability on the football side of his organization. Though it's too early to evaluate the moves Mueller has made since taking charge in late January, word is Huizenga likes the way Mueller carries himself. Huizenga has noticed how much happier the front office is, compared to the way it was during Nick Saban's reign, and he is pleased that Mueller and head coach Cam Cameron get along so well and are on the same page.

Hopefully mueller's moves pan out. So far it looks like he's back to his old self(Seattle, New Orleans). Good picks in the early rounds. Gambles in the later rounds...

Its far to early to make definitive statements because we are too early in the tenure, but with that said, my gut tells me we just had the best draft we've had in a long time.

Its does seem there is mutual respect between Mueller and Cameron which is good.

Muellers history is pretty good, he has been on the sweet smelling end of a couple of very well known trades.

I for one, am glad to know Mueller was extended, and hopefully, this will be the beginning of a long successful era in Dolphin football.

I am happy with Mueller also so far. You can't really judge him on his first year and a half, because he had no real say under the Saban regime. He has a good track record with other NFL teams, and seems to be making pretty good decisions so far. It is also a major plus that Cameron and Mueller get together so well. I think will be happy with the results the two will put on the field in the coming years.

he always did pretty well with his offensive picks...... especially considering Seattle and New Orleans had weak offenses upon his arrival(s). Taking Ginn was no suprise to me as i said over and over again that Galloway was his first ever pick at like # 8. That pick really paid off too. With him and Cam we will shape a very good offense... hopefully it'll be the same for the D because we need an influx of young talent on that side now. Mueller's history on D isn't bad i'm just saying it seems to me he's had more sucess with offensive picks.

I'm one of randy's biggest fans BTW. Happy to have him, and there's barely anyone i'd replace him with.

I don't see how this was a good move, remember that lots of you homers also supported Wanny and Spielman with there winning record. I don't see anything special about Mueller and don't think he is good for the Fins. N.O. was avg with him. I don't like Satan but his first year draft class was way better than Muellers first draft.

good move. sure, the jury is out on his current moves with the dolphins, but he proved to be one of the better GMs in N.O. and seattle before that.

Sucks to be you now .... I guess he can't please everybody all of the time.

What will you do when these very same draft picks end up becoming very good players for the Phin's. Will you come back on this site to say that you were mistaken?

...and what other front office guys are available? Perhaps Speilman should come back? At least we're not trading for unproven backups with loads of potential anymore. Mueller will avoid that thinking and any of the other mistaken philosophies of the past few years.

How do you know that, they haven't played yet?

Every now and then a post comes up that has no true value or reason for existence. This is one of those posts. The talent Mueller brought to seattle was remarkable and the same with N.O (it wasnt the teams fault the coaches couldnt coach - N.O.) He is one of the best GM in the league. I trust him fully

To be discussing the merits of Mueller's impact at this point really does no good. It's too early. We won't know about his hits and misses for 2-4 years. We can speculate and argue, but what's the point until these guys hit the field? And some of his picks will be waiting their turns for 2-3 years, and THEN begin to develop. I know it's a lousy time of year with nothing to talk about, but it doesn't mean we should discuss stuff that yet has no merit.
