Mueller: Fins undecided about fate of Wilkinson, Jones

Pay Donnie - he's a top 10 punter. Big Daddy didnt do much last year anyway - let him go.

let Donnie walk and we get the 7th!!

id like sepuldeva!!!

That would just be dumb IMO. Donnie Jones is one of the best 5 or 6 punters that I can think of off the top of my head. Get him that long term deal and forget the lousy 7th round pick. If a 7th round pick is going to make or break our draft, I don't like our chances any how.

As for Wilkinson, we all know the big fella doesn't like to work out before the season, the man is lazy. Just let him do what he needs to do and when September rolls around he can spell the Tractor Traylor for 12-15 snaps a game cloging holes in the middle.

Put Wilkinson on the 'did not report/retired' list when TC begins, that way we won't have to pay him and he can't sign somewhere else either. The lazy, selfish slob needs to know that he can't lay around when everyone else is working their tails off and then come waddling in towards the end of camp all fresh as a daisy like.

jones is not a top 10 punter. the fins can find better in free agency, and find some kid coming out of college.

keep donnie and dump that fat daddy,it would go against everything mueller has shown us if he keeps wilkinson.

Big Daddy needs to get cut, Donnie needs to be resigned. As horrid as our offense has been we need to keep Donnie because he is an great change of field position guy with his leg. He is a great punter and will be missed if we don't match.

The Dolphins need to sign Donnie Jones to a contract and not let the Rams take him from us. Please do not let Flinn remain the punter.:ninja:

Let Jones go to STL. His average distance was 22nd and his net avg was 25th in the league last year. Is that really worth paying $1 million plus per year for those numbers? There is likely a comparable punter in the draft that will cost much less with that 7th round pick.

Ah screw it, keep both. We should match the offer for Jones, he's worth so much more than a 7th rounder. Letting him go would just be stupid.

Big Daddy doesn't need to be in great shape, he could die on the field and still do his job plugging the gaps. We'd just have to put him on wheels and move him up and down the field when the ball is re-spotted. He'll probably retire anyhow.
