Mueller! the link to his thoughts.

Giving Mueller co-final say over personell changes was probably one of the best moves by this organization that they have made in..... well, a very long time. I think we will be seeing a return on this investment as early as next season.... I'm stoked!!!

Sounds good, I like the agressiveness. It's something we've lacked in recent memory.

But what's up with the last paragraph about Mueller being a candidate for the Titans GM job? And that Wayne wouldn't block him from interviewing for that job? Doesn't sound like Randy is definitely going to be our GM, which is weird at this point because the Senior Bowl, the Draft and free agency are right around the corner.

Randy "indicated Friday he wants to be with the Dolphins long-term.".

All you have to do is listen to RM's PC and you get the idea that he's not going anywhere. This is the oppourtunity that he has been chasing for a long time now (since he was fired from the Saints)

i hope this is true....give me 2 of these guys or at least 1 and ill be happpy

briggs, thomas, samuel, clements, steinbach, dielman.

Meuller has his chance now - he's out from under Saban's thumb. I don't think he leaves, and I think wayne is actually being quite congenial to him by offering him the opportunity to interview elsewhere. We didn't get the full behind-the-scenes story when Saban was here, but from what we did hear Meuller was seriously, seriously unhappy with Saban. Wayne's just being cool and acknowledging that he's been unhappy.

/the above is pure speculation and opinion on my part.

Mueller says "we will be aggressive getting players"

Well the idea that he is going to be "aggressive getting players" doesn't say much. I hope he doesn't mean that he is willing to sacrifice a lot of cap dollars on big ticket players. The key is to get value. Pursue value aggressivley.

I did like that, on the idea of trading Zach Thomas or Jason Taylor and rebuilding from scratch , he noted that it ''would be crazy,''. The fact that this has been mentioned countless times on this board as a possibility was just ludicrous. Some people need to understand that the NFL is not a Madden viideo game.

I'm not sure if Wayne H envisions having R Mueller stick around for a long time, and I really haven't seen what Mueller can do in order to make a meanignful assessment- his days in NO were a long time ago. However, I think the success of Mueller will ultimately depend on how he can work with Cameron. It is critical that these two guys are working on the same page. It apparently wasn't the case with Saban and Mueller.

If aggressiveness means Briggs/Thomas and Samuel/Clements, I'm all for it. We were offering loads of money to LaVar Arrington and the two top LBs in FA this offseason make him look like practice squad fodder. And hopefully he'll get one of the two elite CB's, a rarity these days.

wow the man has a reputation of being sneaky and a great negotiator in the sense of getting more then what something is worth. and his draft picks have always been a hit. I like this man :)
