i don't like him one bit.with a guy like floyd reese available look at what he did in tennessee and the talent he brought in there.or even a guy like scott pioli who runs the pats i believe these are better option for us don't you?

why don't you like him? he has nothing to do with the current players we have because Saban had full control and Mueller was treated as a puppet. I can tell you with confidence that he is a good GM. he was on the Saints when we were raped in the Ricky deal, he got them like what 2 1sts and a 3rd. he also preaches the need to draft a QB every year no matter the situation with the current QBs on the team

I think he can be a good GM, I liked what he did with the Saints while he was there, always restocking talent it seemed. He drafted Duece when they had ricky and I wondered why, now we know why. I think he can do a great job.

article linked from the homepage has sources as saying all Mueller did was provide analysis, Saban has his own grading system and strategy, thereby making Mueller just a glorified scout. No wonder he was pissed.

Pioli, as far as any of us know, isn't available.

In addition, there's no reason to beleive he'd want to leave a team that's won 3 recent Super Bowls and is making a run at another this year.

Why people keep throwing his name around like he's out there unhired and fishing with Jimmy J. in the Keys is mind boggling. :rolleyes2

Mueller did good work @ Seattle and N.O.
Would you care to give a reason why you "don't like him one bit"?

Randy is the guy for at least this year and probably next year I'm thinking. I wouldn't be shocked to see him replaced before the next head coach if there are problems winning, though.

Yep, he pulled a great move drafting Duece and getting rid of Ricky (a "head risk" player) for good draft picks.

He's also a believer in the QB spot being one of the most important positions on the field. He's keen on finding and bringing in good QB prospects. Considering the lack of any QB prospects this team has invested in during our recent past, his strategy is just what we need.

I know this wasn't Mueller, but I have to say that I respect the way the Saints have constantly ensured that they have a good runner on the team. There was some question as to how Deuce would return this year, so they drafted Bush. I hope Miami emulates that system and picks up a back to replace or compliment Ronnie Brown in 3 or 4 years.

How would anyone know if Mueller is good or not other than his past efforts.
Has anyone even seen him or heard him speak? He must be the Dolphin's designated monk that took the vow of silence!

Could this be Randy Mueller?

erroneous

the seahawks were consistent bottom feeders while meuller was there - before being replaced by mike holmgren. you're saying you like the same guy who was responsible for trading an entire draft for one player - ricky williams. when he was fired by each of those franchises, they were in shambles (he got canned along with the head coaches in an entire cleaning of the front office in both situations). sounds a little familiar, doesn't it? fire his stinky ***.

im a mueller supporter and feel if he's given the power which he wasn;t he'll make the right moves.....only time will telll..its not like pioli is that easy to get anyways...cmon guy

get your facts straight Mueller was on the Saints when we traded all of our picks for Ricky, he isn't responsible for that on our end. he is responsible for getting the Saints two 1sts and a 3rd out of Ricky, very impressive. even when you consider the idiot that we had at GM who would fall for anything

I can assure you all that if Mueller is calling the shots come draft time we will be drafting a QB. I'm not necessarily saying on the 1st day but a QB will be drafted

He's talking about when ditka/saints traded their whole draft to get Ricky out of Texas.
