Mueller wants more picks

anyone think we'll trade anybody for picks?

If we don't think any player is worth it at #9, then yes trade down. We need a lot and draft picks are better than FA, because you're building for the future.

We should be able to get alot more for the 9th pick than just the a late 1st,2nd, and 5th.

That may be true, but I'd still do it in a heartbeat. It's about bodies. We need lots of them. Unless Quinn falls to 9, you pull the trigger on that trade.

the veterans like taylor, thomas and holiday wont be into a rebuilding so it wont work

Way too much trades going on, way too much what ifs...and i really dont like the draft that you have.

Can we really get a 2nd and a 3rd round pick for Bell and Welker? Wont teams shy away from signing them if they are tendered that high.

Quote:
We need (immediate contributions) from two or three picks this year," Mueller said. "For the next two or three years, we need an influx of young talent. If we say the free-agent class this year is so-so, it puts even more pressure to hit. I wish we had a bunch more picks

Warning: This is a mock draft is based on annoying, hypothetical and controversial trades.

The scenario is predicated on losing Yeremiah Bell on a 2nd round tenure to Denver and losing Welker on a 3rd round tender to San Francisco.

A trade of Randy McMichael and our 6th and 7th round picks to Oakland for their 2nd round pick.

A trade of Marty Booker(definitely not performance related, rather cap related) to Green Bay for their 3rd round pick.

A trade down with the Ravens. Our #9 for their 1,2,5. Assuming Adrian Petersen slides to the #9; many other possible scenario's exist.

FA acquisitions: Ken Hamlin-Safety and Kevin Curtis-WR and a LT to a 1 or 2 year contract.

Draft:
#29 Khalil-Center
#33 Jarvis Moss-DE/OLB
#40 Houston-CB
#56 Bryan Leonard-RB/FB
#61 Aaron Rouse-Safety
#71-Doug Free-OT
#74-Manuel Ramirez-OG
#78-Earl Everett-LB
#104-Paul Williams-WR
#157-Jared Zabransky-QB

We cut: Mckinney,James,Anderson,Harrington,Carter and Wilkinson.
We keep: Bowens,Vickerson,Jones,Lemon,Barnes,Jacox,Tractor Traylor, Marcus Vick and Toniu Fonuti.

You obviously don't attach a lot of importance to the QB position so you use a late rd token pick on one.

how does that tendre stuff work exactly? anyone know?

wow man... by him saying he wants more picks i would expect a trade down in the first and picking up a second or third round pick... but you just made one of the craziest posts ive ever seen haha. not only is this completely unrealistic, but i also dont really agree with the picks, i wouldnt spend a first on kalil but an early second i would, and i would definately pick up stanton in the second if we dont get quinn and trade down.[/quote

yea and taht means usually on defense so dont be surprised about that side of hte ball being drafted. i think we go LT or WR/QB as the only thing on offense unless for late round project lineman. thats it. rest would be defense. CC said he wnats to get the defense takin care of b/c he isnt goin to ignore that side just b/c he is an offensive guy. he wants to do both very well by completeing both sides of the roster. loved that.

You would trade #9 for #29, a 2nd and 5th?

Jesus Christ.

you mean rick speilman is still in charge of drafts ? dang it, dang it take a rope and hang me , hang me from the highest tree that woman didnt wait for me , sorry but if dont get more picks then that something is wrong in miami.

in order to trade down dont we need somebody to trade up with us? so far nobody wants to dto that.:fire:

stop playing madden. as much as that looks amazing, no gm is going to trade a starting wr and te for 3rd round picks when TO is a 2nd rounder.....also, no team would give up a 3rd round pick for welker and no team would trade a 2nd for yeremiah bell when that 2nd round pick can get you TO, Daunte Culpepper and other big names or just save it for the draft.

possible scenario of us trading down is us trading our first for st. louis first and 2nd. we trade to 13-15 overall if quinn and branch are not there and pick up a 2nd rounder and possibly still grab levi brown, any wr you want besides CJ, reggie nelson, lawrence timmons in that middle of the first round section
