Mueller Wants To Trade Up For Quinn

Thanks, Very good read. I think it's unlikely he falls to 9, but if he makes it past 3, then I think Randy goes for it. I can't say I'd be upset, because if you see someone you like, go get him just like Denver did with Cutler last year. We did it with Porter, so if Randy and Cam say Quinn is the man then go get him.

Who cares, it's well known Cleveland is taking Quinn which means Miami has no shot at him..

Don't get your hopes up, all you will do is end up being even more disappointed..

Cleveland is in love with Quinn, and Quinn has stated many times he wants to go there and play for his hometown team.. Quinn will be a Brown .

On Siuris radio yesterday a bunch of Cleveland fans called in and said they dont want Brady Quinn because they said they want to win right now and they feal that drafting Brady Quinn will ste them back a few years and would just rather stay with Charile Fry.

I don't like the idea. If Quinn falls to #5 or 6, its a good bet that he will be there at 9. I say even at 12.

Make a trade with Buff, or Denver.

Even if we miss on Quinn, with time Kolb, Beck, and Stanton could be just as good.

Here are the surest, safest picks:
1. Joe Thomas: you've seen the film on this guy. He's the total package. He's an athletic giant that, unlike Gallery of the Raiders, Joe plays with fire.
2. Calvin Johnson: wide receivers need good quarterbacks, pass blocking, offensive schemes, etc. to get the most out of them. The coverages are more sophisticated in the Pros and the cornerbacks are better. Still Johnson measurables are "once in a lifetime" and his college production was excellent.
3. Patrick Willis: smart, instinctive, outstanding linebacker in college on a bad team. Than the Pro Day workout, confirmed that his measurables make him really special.
4. Adrian Peterson: if he goes to team that already has decent run blocking. He's big, fast, instinctive, and runs with passion.
5. Jamarcus Russell & Brady Quinn: sorry but no such thing as a sure thing for Quarterbacks drafted by weak offensive teams.
6. Gaines Adams: if used strictly for pass rushing. Not an every down player.
7. Laron Landry: it usually takes safeties a year or two to pick up the "mental aspects" of the game.
8. Levi Brown: Boom or bust. Doesn't appear to have the athleticism for left tackle and work habits and concentration are a question mark. But we are desperate!!!!
9. Ted Ginn: situational player at this stage in his development - #9 is too high.

I think that the talk about Cleveland picking Quinn is a lot like the talk about the Bills picking Leinart in year's draft. At the time, the Bills had a young QB with lots of question marks; that's Cleveland with Charlie Frye this year.

The Bills passed on Leinart (actually, they probably would have taken Cutler over Leinart anyways) because they felt that they had bigger needs than a QB, and they wanted to see what they had in Losman. The Brownies could very well go this same route if they like what they've seen from Frye so far.

Actually, Stanton might make the best QB in the draft. I saw a listing of the scouting reports on the QB prospects, and all of Stanton's "weaknesses" were things that can be corrected with good coaching.

This was a great list until Ted Ginn got put in there. No way is he in the top 10 safest players. He is very soft.

Actually Mueller didn't say anything....it's pure speculation of the writer....notice the headline;

Mueller might move Dolphins' pick.

it goes on to say he could go up or go down...or stay at 9....like we need some writer to tell us that?

Good!! Trade Booker and get a a couple of good young receivers to go with Hagan and some young linemen to lwearn the ropes. Next year bring in Colt Brennan!!! We'll be glad you did.
