Dolphins' offensive line struggles to communicate

The Dolphins' revamped offensive line has become a favorite target of disgruntled fans and television analysts for its failure to adequately protect its quarterbacks (15 sacks), open up holes for the 32nd-ranked rushing corps and for its role in committing 20 pre-snap penalties (one of which was declined).

DAVIE  Coach Dave Wannstedt said Thursday he didn't want to talk about defensive lineman Chidi Ahanotu's decision to walk away from the Dolphins.

"Let's talk about the guys that are here," said Wannstedt, in a refrain he has used regarding Ricky Williams. "Chidi won't be playing this week. We know that."

The Dolphins' penalty situation has gone well beyond the realm of painful and is downright suicidal.
