Muschamp to Auburn

Per LSU message board, Muschamp to be announced as new Auburn D.C. later today. Sucks for both the Dolphins and LSU.

Well, I had speculated that Capers' arrival could replace BOTH Smith and Muschamp. If this is true, I guess I was right.

great news for Auburn though.i don't think that it will really hurt the Dolphins since they will still have Saban and Capers overseeing the defense.

So he's returning to the same position he held prior to moving to Miami? Odd. I'd think he'd have at least held out until he was offered a major college HC job, which would probably be forthcoming shortly following a SB appearance.

the rumor going around Auburn is that Muschamp will be named as DC/LB coach at Auburn and Chuck Pagano will be named as DB coach/Special Teams Co-ordinator.

the anouncement is rumored to take place any minute now.

Hope it's not true. I think Muschamp might be trying to leave the large shadow of Nick Saban. I know at LSU, it wasn't referred to as "Muschamp's defense" but "Saban's defense"
