If you didn't catch the game on the Sunday Ticket today at 1pm, try to watch it on the NFL Network at 8pm tonight. You cannot fully understand what went on without seeing it for yourself. The highlights on sportscenter do not tell the ENTIRE story.

This game was no different than any of Miami's 3 previous losses. They had oppotunities to win. In the 1st half, Miami had the chance to score 3 touchdowns! Here is how they failed on all three.

1st failure: Welker returned a kick inside the 10 yard line. The first play of the drive was a holding penalty on #77 McIntosh? Miami backed up near the 20 and never found anything on offense.

2nd failure: Booker was wide open in the endzone. Granted Gus was pressured, he still should have made that throw. The crowd let him hear it on that one.

3rd failure: Chambers was wide open and Gus underthrew the pass in the endzone. It was very close. It looked like they could have challenged the call. But it was ruled incomplete. Gus missed again.

Miami kicked two measley field goals instead of having 3 touchdowns. Aside from the opening drive, the defense played pretty well in the first half. KC had a VERY strong running attack. Their RBs and O-line get it done. Miami did ok against it in the first half. They could have had the lead or been tied up at halftime.

The second half is when this game was lost. Ronnie had that AMAZING run to start the half. It looked like Miami was going to get things rolling. Then... BOOM! KC answers in no time at all. This was the worst I have seen Miami's defense play in a loooong time. It was pathetic.

Miami's offense never put anything together in the second half. This is when the defense was constantly on the field. KC stayed out on the field getting first downs the entire second half.

Some of this stuff has been discussed already. But here are some things that must be noted regardless.

#1 Frerotte is not in any kind of sync with Chambers or Booker, especially Chambers. He is also forcing his throws more, which is leading to more tipped passes and interceptions.

#2 Ricky hasn't done squat in two games. However, he did make a GREAT recovery of Frerotte's fumble. I couldn't believe that he came out with the ball.

#3 Zach Thomas was taking bad angles on KC's RBs all night.

#4 Sage's pass to Chambers was not a perfect throw. Chambers made a good adjustment on the ball. KC's DBs were ready to get on the bus and did not adjust to that pass at all. If this were the Buffalo game, it would have been picked off.

Frerotte had a turd of a game, McIntosh had a turd of a game and Miami's defense played pathetic in the second half. It is hard to put the blame on one guy on defense. They all missed tackles and missed coverages at some point.

Miami is not completely out of it. Watch the game and you will see for yourself. If they stay the way they are now, there is no chance for a .500 or better season. Saban will have to make some BIG decisions this week against the Saints. Change must happen this week. I don't know if Sage is the answer, but no one can know unless he is given a chance. Frerotte is just not getting it done anymore. He did just barely enough to keep the starting job before the bye week. Now he is progressively getting worse.

Final note: Everyone that believes the playcalling on offense is an issue has a good argument. There is ZERO consistency in the play calling. It is sporatic and lost. It is completely out of sync. Saban needs to start forcing the offense to better plan their calls so they can look like they have a purpose.

Exactly, this game and the score is very misleading. I saw the score before I watched it so I thought it must have been a tough fight...WRONG.

Score was 30-13 until 2:30 left in the game when Sage threw a ball up for CC who magically caught it between 2 people. Other than that our offensive line sucked at run blocking as usual, our defense was terrible again, and Gus was off target consistently.

Only positive change in this game was the reduced number of penalties.

One play that really disapointed me was the TD pass Welker dropped. I believe it took place TWO plays before the pass Gus tried to throw to Booker in the endzone.

Welker flat out dropped a sure TD pass.

Please understand after watching the game I would have to say Gus had a bad game and most of what went wrong on offense in this past game was Gus's fault.

Thats not a fair assessment of Welker. He had two defenders on him and had to dive and stretch out to reach for a pass that the saftey would have intercepted if he didnt get his hands on it. Once again Gus threw the ball way too far in front of his receiver and too short. I guess that is better than Behind and high.

Welker had one defender on him, behind him and the pass was a nice one that hit Welker on both of his hands. Gus threw the ball where only his receiver could catch the ball. I would be surprised if that is not how Gus is asked to throw such a pass. And I would be even further shocked if that was not a designed route run by Welker.

Again, Gus over all had a poor game, but there were times he made some nice throws and his receivers once again let the offense down. Although this is the 1st time I can think of where Welker actually dropped a sure catch.

The o line is not good, but 15 rushing attepmt is not going to get it done.........

I disagree with this point. I like that the play calling is a little "sporadic." For the first time in a long time, I don't always know what's coming - which means opposing defenses don't know either. IMO, there is little problem with the play calling - but MASSIVE problems with play execution. Even when the plays work, 50% of the time they get called back on some undisciplined/unnecessary penalty.

The biggest Team Stat was time of possession. Something like KC- 40 minutes and MIA- 20 minutes. That will tell you right there who won this game. Something that has bothered me is that I think Saban is force-feeding his complicated defense on this team too quickly. A defense who has been playing man-to-man, very simple defense for years and now all of a sudden we are running all these complicated plays and instead of the opposing offenses looking confused it's our own defense who looks confused and out of place resulting in blown coverages, big plays, missed tackles, and a lack of INTs and FFs.

I agree...with most...especially Sage's pass....the deep safety...all he had to do was turn around and make a play....it would have been intercepted or knocked down....and if People are staging their "start Sage" on that play alone....well thats just not smart. Last Years stats for Sage....
16/39 for 264 yards 1 TD 3 INT's....41.0 rating.....

And Brown shuts doubters up. Oh and the positive that we are more clear on the negatives.

Yeah it wasnt as close as the score suggested and if you where at the game, like I was, you would have been pissed at Zach, every tackle he made was after a 5 yard or more gain.
