Well guys, season is over and i AM proud of this team. 1-15, to 11-5. Granted next year is gonna be harder (hard schedule), but I think we can do it. I dont think we will be 11-5, but I think we will be at least .500. I made this post to write down every position and what we need, whos good, whos not good...I dont think ive done this before, so bare with me. Im no expert, so if u disagree, lemme know...

QB: I like Chad, and we have backups in Henne and Beck who im content with. Penny has a good 3-4 years left in him.

RB: Ricky and Ronnie are keepers. And Cobbs. Enough said.

FB: Polite was a steal. However we got him, im glad we did.

WR: Desperate need. I like Camarillo, Ginn and Bess, but as u saw today, we really had nobody. We need to add a star receiver, and a good slot receiver.

TE: Im happy with Fasano and Martin. Both are relatively young, both can catch, but blocking could use some work. Doesnt hurt to draft a TE and see how he does.

OT: Long and Carey are fine. Doesnt hurt to draft an RT later to backup Carey.

OG: We have Smiley, Alleman, Frye, Nduwke, Johnson, Thomas, Murphy...thats 7 guys to fill 2 spots. If Smiley and Thomas werent hurt, our OL woulda been much better.

OC: Satele...hes no star, but he does well sometimes. If we can get our hands on a good Center in free agency, ill be happy.

DE: I think its obvious that Merling and Langford are the future DE's for this team. Rod Wright, Matt Roth, Vonnie Holliday (not all are DEs, but they can play it)...are serviceable. If we can somehow add a good pass rushing DE in the offseason, ill be happy.

DT: Soliai, Starks, Ferguson...decent players, but we need a star badly. We arent stuffing the run or pressuring the passer. If we can somehow add Haynesworth or even Gabe Watson, ill be ecstatic.

OLB: Porter is getting old, but hes still good. But we do need to find someone young to replace him. I think 2nd round is the place to pick his successor. And free agency, im hoping we can find someone for the other side...Terrell Suggs?

MLB: Crowder is serviceable. Id put Anderson and Ayodele on special teams, and find a starting MLB in FA's or the draft. Karlos Dansby maybe?

CB: Will Allen and Andre Goodman are not stars, but they covered pretty well this season (except against the spread offense). With that said, i still would like to find a shutdown corner in FA's AND a decent corner in the draft. Dont forget, there's still Nathan Jones and Courtney Bryan to backup.

FS: Renaldo Hill is decent, but I think our first round pick should be a free safety (or MLB). Someone speedy, strong, and covers well.

SS: Ill keep Yeremiah Bell. When healthy, hes fine.

K/P: Im happy with Carpenter and Fields.

So after all is said and done...we need: WR, DT/NT, OLB, ILB, CB, FS. If possible, a new Center too. IMO, our biggest need is WR. If Boldin or Fitzgerald became available, id throw any kind of money at either one.

New additions to Miami:
-TJ Houshmanzadeh WR
-Jonathan Babineaux? Bertrand Berry? Gabe Watson? Or of course, Big Al Haynesworth. Either or.... DT
-James Farrior? Eric Barton? Bart Scott? Terrell Suggs? Karlos Dansby? Either or... LB
-You know it....Nnamdi Asomugha. Only if we could afford it...

I appreciate Pennington for what he helped us accomplish this year, but he is what he is. Pennington is a game manager, not a gamechanger. As long Pennington is our best QB, he should start, but hopefully Henne is ready by 2010.

RB: Ricky and Ronnie are keepers. And Cobbs. Enough said.

Agreed...

WR: Desperate need. I like Camarillo, Ginn and Bess, but as u saw today, we really had nobody. We need to add a star receiver, and a good slot receiver.

We already have at least one of our starting 2 receivers in Ginn. We also have our future slot WR in Davone Bess, as he is more like Welker than any other WR in the NFL. If Camarillo can return healthy, I don't think WR will be one of our bigger needs, having said that, it would be nice to add a game changing WR to start opposite of Ginn. Antonio Bryant would be my top choice.

IMO, Bryant/Ginn/Bess/Camarillo would be one of the better receiving cores in the NFL.

TE: Im happy with Fasano and Martin. Both are relatively young, both can catch, but blocking could use some work. Doesnt hurt to draft a TE and see how he does.

I'd still like to see the OL as one of the main priorties in the offseason.

DE is one of our strengths.

I agree, it would be nice to see us add a young NT.

Our linebacking core has to be one of our biggest priorites, much more so than our receiving core. I wouldn't be surprised if we made this our priority in the offseason, much like we made the DL our priority in '08.

I'm hoping we can sign Goodman to a 2-3 year deal, and bring back Hill as a backup. Finding a new starting FS has to be high on our priority list.

SS: Ill keep Yeremiah Bell. When healthy, hes fine.

He's fine, but that's the problem, he's wanting top S money.

I'd much rather go after Antonio Bryant, if we were going to go after a WR. He's the only WR out there that I'd give a big contract to.
