After this I'm unsure of our picks, but I'd look at DT.

A little misguided. Saban will go with some home town LSU boys but you have to think it through. He'll go with home town players on DEFENSE because they already know his system. Taking LSU players from the OL or WR corp doesn't really give us anything that other teams wouldn't get if they took the guy. But, if another team took Travis Daniels, they probably wouldn't have themselves a solid starter in only his rookie season, would they?

Saban has a little inside info on Green and Whitworth, fair enough. But, he doesn't make the decisions on who to draft on the OL. Hudson Houck does. Hudson would probably do a lot of the evaluating, and if he has questions about Whitworth because he is a genuinely intriguing prospect to Hudson, then he'll ask Nick and Nick will answer.

A guy I feel is clearly being overlooked is Cameron Vaughn, but I guess there's some uncertainty over whether or not he'll declare. He's 6'4", 240 lbs, and use to play outside linebacker in Saban's scheme. How is he NOT a perfect replacement for Junior Seau?

i like picks #1, #2 and #4. don't like #3 personally, but i could be wrong.

I like Greenway as a pick because he's got the size to play LB in Saban's defense, he's from more of a pro-style defense at Iowa (Kirk Ferentz, who's supposedly a good friend of Saban's), and I like the idea of drafting LBs now so Zach can rub off on them before he retires.

I like it..but I havent seen much of Hackney to know is he will be worth a 3rd rd pick. But you are right..he seems to fit the qb criteria that the phins like: a Mobile, strong arm, qb.

He is definitly a promising project, another guy with a lack of talent around him. As for Saban picking LSU offensive players..i can see with witworth, but I really feel Skyler Green will be a Phin..he will not get a lot of hype, but yes Saban has the inside info.

Yeah, at 6'2 240 lbs, the guy sure has the built. I wonder if he would have been playing in a big name school how much publicity this guy would have gotten instead of being at UAB. I will be looking very carefully at him during the Senior bowl.

My Dolphin Mock

Round 1: Tambali Hall DE Penn State –He projects as a hybrid 3-4 OLB. He is what every 3-4 defense needs, the outside linebacker, edge rusher. He is this years, Shawn Merriman. Also, 6-5, 265. –which is Shawn Merriman’s size also.

Round 2: Jason Allen DB Tennessee –He can play either CB or DB at the pro-level, hard hitter.

Round 3: Cameron Vaughn LB LSU –Nick Saban obviously knows his own guy-One of Nick’s favorites. Kiper the other day said Vaughn is very underrated but could go in either 2 or 3. 6’3 240. He will be a great fit with Zach and Crowder.

Round 4: Will Allen G Texas. Massive blocker. When Hadnot moves to center that will leave a big whole at the right guard spot. Also, lets give Ricky and Ronnie someone to run behind. Note: he could also play right tackle.
