I have done many mocks in the past years and even though it is way early to do these, i figured i would do one. EVERYTHING is gonna change, draft stock is gonna go up and down and change everything but they are fun to do. Last season i even picked the first 7 guys right (until the pats traded there pick which messed it up) in one of my last drafts i did that offseason.

so here it is:

Note: i'd look for Miami to go after a decent talented CB because where they pick in each round, the top notch ones are gone.

-If RT Vernon Carey doesnt get re-signed (RT would be a high priority)

1 Clint Sintim, Virginia
Height: 6-3. Weight: 254. 40 time:4.66.

Miami needs another pass rusher to pair up with Joey Porter. Playing rush linebacker in the 3-4, Clint Sintim has been a pass-rushing machine, owning 12.5 TFL and 11 sacks in 10 games. Clint Sintim should be able to play strongside or middle linebacker at the next level.

2 Phil Loadholt, ROT Oklahoma
Height: 6-8. Weight: 350.
Got beat at times against Brian Orakpo but a mammoth of an offensive tackle and a tremendous run-blocker. I have a feeling Phil Loadholt is going to be blocking for tons of 1,000-yard backs throughout his NFL career as a right tackle. Would replace Carey nicely!

2 Sean Smith S Utah
He had a monstrous senior season which has vaulted him to the 2nd round.

3 Ron Brace ,NT Boston College
Height: 6-3. Weight: 330 40 Time: 5.36.
He is a BIG NT, which Miami needs. Jason Ferguson just turned 34, and his contract expires after the 2009 season. The Dolphins will need to acquire a new nose tackle in the near future. Might fall a bit in the draft.

4 Ramses Barden, WR Cal Poly-SLO
Height: 6-6. Weight: 226 40 Time: 4.55
Thanks to his impressive size, Ramses Barden had 67 receptions, 1,257 yards and 18 touchdowns as a senior. Ramses Barden has at least 131 yards and a touchdown in every game this season. Would be our Big WR for the redzone and could be polished into a decent NFL WR.

5 Worrell Williams, ILB California
Height: 6-2. Weight: 249 40 Time 4.6
He is flying under the radar right now. Worrell Williams is a versatile LB who has played Weakside and inside LB and is having an outstanding season and will be targeted by 3-4 defenses in April. Williams has 55 tackles, five TFL and six passes broken up. If Crowder isnt resigned this position might be a bigger priority or FA might be the answer, but Williams can be groomed into a good ILB.

Hard to pick after this but i expect some linemen but here are a few notable 7th rounder (we have 3 7th rounders):

Patrick Turner, WR USC
Lee Robinson, OLB Alcorn State

-If Carey if RT Vernon Carey does get re-signed (RT isnt a high priority then)
1 Greg Hardy OLB Ole Miss
2 Rashad Johnson FS, Alabama or Sean Smith S, Utah
2 Ron Brace NT Boston College
3 Domonique Johnson, CB, Jackson State
4 Ramses Barden WR, Cal Poly-SLO
5 Worrell Williams, ILB California

That's a nice draft but isn't that high for Brace? Last year everyone was clamouring for Red Bryant (rd 4) and Okam (rd5) NT in the second round and look where they ended up. I'd also like to see a Center somewhere in there.

Just one question. Why does signing Vernon Carey change the 1st pick from Sintim to Hardy?

what round do you guys think Sean Smith S Utah will go? I have heard 2 or 3rd round but i think his stock is rising

3 Louis Delmas, FS Western Michigan
Height: 5-11. Weight: 196. 40 time: 4.4 A monstrous senior season has vaulted Louis Delmas into the upper echelon of this list. Delmas had 100 tackles, four TFL, three passes broken up, four interceptions and a pick-six as a senior. Miami needs tp upgrade or at least get some competition for the FS spot now that Jason Allen was switched over to CB.
4 Ramses Barden, WR Cal Poly-SLO
Height: 6-6. Weight: 226 40 Time: 4.55

ACE!!! A+ draft man. I like it, it hits alot of needs early. I like Worrell but he may not fit the "BP mold". Other than that pretty, pretty good. Throw Brinkley in their and its the draft of the decade.

Brace is rising on everybody's draft board, i really doubt he will be there in the 4th round. With NT being a shortage the latest he will still be there is the 3rd. He gets a little over shadowed because of Raji, but i think Brace will be a better 3-4 NT anyway.

but that would be a great draft. I like Slintin and Delmas a lot. I dont really know much about the Oklahoma tackle, that might be the only thing i change. Maybe Victor Harris if he is still there.
