1. Jake Long, I would be happy with either Long (BTW, Chris was at the SF Giants game last night with some Raiders people). However, I think OT is a bigger need then DE/OLB.
2a. A Cason, IMO, the best CB in the draft. Not a workout warrior like some but he was productive on the field where it counts most.
2b. C. Nick, yes another OT... this move affords us the opportunity to move Carey to guard where a lot of ppl think he belongs (not that I agree with that cause i think he is a fine RT). Also gives us a safety blanket if it turns out J Long cant play LT as many predict he cant. Lastly, I know he has some off the field issues but then again that is why he is going to be on the board when we pick.
3. R. Schuening OG, I don't know if ppl realize it but the Fins have 7 OL under contract right now. We need bodies and Roy is a guy that could come in a start if not provide depth while he matures some.
4. A Rubin DT, more depth to the line, not sure he is going to last this long.

thoughts?

We need a guard and a tackle ... not 2 tackles and a guard. If we moved Carey to guard and picked Schuening, where do you suppose we put our biggest off-season pickup, OG Smiley???

If Nicks is the dude from Neb, he looks like he'll be a guard. I'd be real happy with a very similar top 3..havn't gotten farther yet.

1. J, Long
2A Brandon FLowers
2B Carl Nicks if he is there unless a stud LB is there that won't last till 3

co-sign

Fishy, I didn't get to watch C Campbel play last year. What were your impressions of him? Do you think that he'd fit our D scheme with his build?

With his size....he'd be a perfect 3-4 DE...and he's still a kid...he can grow more. What he needs is some good coaching and some time in the weight room.

Maybe 2 OL in the first 3 rounds but never 3 too many needs. CB, TE, WR

Couple things... as I said we have 7 OL under contract right now. Julius "F'n" Wilson is currently our starting RT. We have to bring in more than one OT because I am going to assume that you want more than one backup OT.

Secondly what I said in the original post (if you would have taken the time to read it and understand it) was that IF we drafted J Long and C Nick we could move Carey to OG. That would allow Schuening time to develope as a backup.

lastly, my opinion of who we should draft is my opinion, you may not like it but it is far from idiotic.

Flowers is not worth the 2a pick (IMO) and where did you hear that Nicks is going to be a OG?

i wouln't mind that draft at all. we need o line help bad, and we still get carson at CB, who i like a lot too. would be nice to have kellen davis in the 4th.

I think Flowers is a reach there, but he'd be worth it to us. I have seen him in the first round of a few mocks lately.
