I see alot of post calling for Ronnie to get more carries and that he isn't as good and give more carries to Ricky. I have been on this site saying that Ronnie is the 4th or 5th best overall back in the NFL. He runs with power speed blocks and catches, basically he does everything.

I love Ronnie he is easily one of my favorite players ever him and that big *** smile on the field how could you not like him. And for those who don't GET OVER IT. Coming off injury sharing carries it will take awhile to get back to the Ronnie we all want to see. Not to mention the emergence of Penny and our receiving core has brought down some of his numbers.

Now i know he has had a few mediocre weeks but every back does. Remember last year when he was putting up all those sweet numbers WHAT WAS OUR TEAMS RECORD oh yeah 0-7 so he has fewer numbers this year but is playing a huge part in a oh yeah 3-4 football team.

For those simply worried about his stat line (fantasy footballers) the next three weeks should help him out

Denver 155 rush yards per game
Seattle 122 rush yards per game
Oakland 144 rush yards per game

So i would not be surprised if Ronnie gets about 400 yards in the next 3 weeks. But i would also not care if he only gets about 200-250 yards if we continue to win and come out either 5-5 or 6-4. He may be upset about his carries only because he wants to help win game he wants to make a big impact its not about his ego.

And finally if Ronnie goes for ONLY 100 and 2td's this week at the half way point he will have.

510yards 9 td's and if you project that it leads to roughly 1020 yards and 18 td's i would be very very happy for him if he did that. I will finish by saying that I would rather Ronnie have number like those above and be at or above .500 than for him to have superstar numbers and only have 2 wins.

That's my 2 cents take it leave it do whatever you want to do with it.

i didnt know anyone was saying ricky needs more carries then ronnie but ok

I agree with you 100%, I do like them both to have a great season, but as long as we are winning , I don't care who has more carries or more yards or more touchdowns

I love the dolphins as a team, not just one player

Ronnie is the one of thee top backs in football, top three IMO, he has recently expressed some frustration about the opponent having extra defenders in the box, Of course that is the reason why you see him go from all world to him looking like hes struggling.

Hes not struggling, no runner can expect results when you are going against 8 in the box and a bracketing style defense that is not afraid of our vertical philosophy in our offense.

Last weeks game will help but it does'nt change Chad P's arm because of it, this is a problem we will constantly face, however i think Chad is smart enough, our staff is innovative enough to create and evolve news ways to get the defense to respect most of the field.

So far they {chad n staff} have done a magnificent job covering up that weakness.

As far as carries for ronnie....Sparano is very aware of how many plays each player gets during a game, it would'nt suprise me if they already have an idea of a number for ronnie before the game , iam sure ronnies doctors and trainers have something to do with his limited carries. They wanna gradually build this man up after coming off his ACL surgery, no matter how tough the temtation to keep him on the field the whole game...they mus'nt.Ronnie's knee is a long term project, i like the way their bringing him along

Thats the point i wanted to make...he is a stud will forever be a stud and is just facing fronts right now that he can break out against but the development of our receiving core will help him out ALOT

Top 3 based on what? look if you like ronnie fine but he has not proven to be one of the top 5 backs in the league much less top 3.

The way i look at it is who would i trade for right now, strait up, for ronnie brown.

The only dudes i would think about would be A.D, Brian westbrook, and marion barber, You can keep L.T, dont want him.

The overall skill set of ronnie Brown is unparalled, Once the offense can get the defense to back off some you will see the great skill, which we have already seen. you know that bro.

This is all about opinion. People have their favourite players and type of players.
Ronnie Brown is a sick, sick footballer but how anyone could say he's a top three back is almost beyond me. You can't evaluate a guys' pro ability on potential. I think with the right supporting cast, he could be an elite back but I mean please... What's he had, one 1000 yard season? How anyone can say claim that is beyond me.

That said, he's an asset to this team and will be an integral part of a far different side in years to come. Let's hope we give him the right stage and a just chance for him to fulfil his almost limitless potential.

I know he has a lot of potential in the passing game to. His hands are almost perfect. Why not try and run more screens to him? I'm mean he'll prolly get more catches as the season goes on but I still remember back in 05 i believe when Ronnie hurlded a Bills defender and after he caught pass out of the flat and went almost 20 yards more to the endzone. Kids a raw athlete.

I remember that play too. That was amazing. He jumped from like the five yard line and flew over the defender for the score.

When he learns to hit holes and see things as quick as Ricky he will be dangerous

This arguement materializes in every thread about our running game. I'm not sure if it's the same posters but it is always, "Ronnie is top 3" with the re-buttle of "top 3 based on what". It's obvious the 2 posters can argue this until they are blue in the face and will still believe what they believe. Put it to bed please.
