Some of you may have seen my post looking for a last minute partner for the game as as I took my family on a trip from Canada for the Monday night football game and for a moment my wife wasn't going to make it. I wanted to share my experience and hopefully get tips for next time. I enjoy reading everyone's else's comments on this board. It's a long read but wanted to share as we are back home tonight. And I work tomorrow ugh..

I was with my wife as mentioned and my 15 month old son. His bedtime is normally 5:00 pm. We went to the Florida panthers game on Thursday and he was doing great staying up the late hours but at about 830 (only an hour into the game) he flipped. miserable. yelling punching crying just a tired baby trying to say why did you drag me to Florida lol. Of course people around us were being polite but I know they hated it. I find it annoying myself when it's not my kid.. Ended up wife left early and I used uber to get home (a whole nother story..)

On Saturday night we again had a late night and pretty much 830 900 baby Jesse had a meltdown again. Sensing a trend..Wife says they are out for Monday night it's not worth the battle especially when kickoff is 830. I argue, we yell she won't change her mind (we've all been there before boys) So I post on here looking for someone as I would hate for a good ticket to go to waste. No takers, not one message and I'm actually very surprised but anyways it ended up being some what better with the kid on Sunday night because we were driving around late afternoon and he had a nap (he never naps in afternoon and we have tried to set a habit to no avail). So I get wife to agree to go since no one answered and we plan on leaving early drive around and hopefully he goes down again then we get to stadium and try it out, worse case she leaves early again and I cab or uber home. I won the fight and get to take who I want to go with.

Gps says 45 miles from our place to hard rock. We left at 530. And holy sheet traffic... I watched asy gps arrival time went from 630 to 7 to 8... Traffic jam I95 is at a standstill I see tons of people in dolphins gear so they must be going too... Long story short we were limping along the road trying to get there don't even know what time it was but I didn't get to our seats until 6 minutes in 2Nd quarter!! At home when I go to a CFL game I litterly leave an hour before kick off and arrive with lots of time, I really take that for granted after this experience. that's after making my own parking spot by moving a steel fence . Saved $40 parking fee at least.

But I was in the perfect spot to see the Grant TD catch. Right in front of us. Among other big plays and the Thomas TD drop... Like most of you all I was hoping for was a competitive game from our dolphins. like all of you we enjoyed every minute of what we saw, couldn't ask for a better game. And as the kid got a really good nap in the traffic lol he lasted right til the end of the game with no meltdowns and smiling like his dad. I might have created another fin fan on Monday night. I know he's got lots of aqua clothes now too, from other shops due to the lateness I missed shopping at the stadium shop. But overall couldn't ask for a better night or game to go to.

I also just might be a good luck charm as I am 3-0 for Dolphins games ive been to.

- Farves first game as a viking, Minnesota home opener in 2010

-the one game miami beat the ravens at home two years ago in December.

- the Patriots curb stomping where cutler looked liked old Jay cutler

Had a great weekend and great experience with fellow miami dolphins fans and I definitely plan on coming back it just might not be with a kid in diapers...

Thanks for reading fins up

I went down there a few years ago with my wife and at the time my two-year-old daughter. They drop me off at the game and picked me up when it was over. Personally I would not want my young kid to be at a football game. Not only would I have to worry about other people being assholes, I would not want to think about having to change any diapers or get distracted.

Glad it was a good time though. It’s always nice to see a win even if the season is on the brink.

I went to a Phins game down there when my son was 3 or 4, and he loved it. It POURED down rain the entire game which he thought was fun. Miami won the game and Ricky Williams ran for over 200 yards that night. My son was sitting there yelling GO RICKY... And all of the other fans loved him, especially the girls lol. The night before that we went to a Canes game, and saw them trounce some small school... it was probably my favorite trip I've ever been on.
