My 2k7 mock draft version 1

1st rd) Brown OT Penn St, 2nd) SpencerDE/OLB Purdue 3rd) MozesC W Va, 4th) Rowe QB NV-Reno, 6th) Love DT Houston, 7th) Eubanks LB Delta St

I'd prefer Willis but #9 is too early to take him. It maybe a reach IMO to take Brown at that spot but better a OT than OLB. I am against acquiring Brown if it means Alabi will be cut.

I have been very impressed with Rowe & Love each time I've seen them play. Eubanks just kind of jumped out at me one Saturday a few months ago watching a Div 2 (?) game.

Zac Taylor of Nebraska is another developmental type QB that intrigues me.

Being a homer, I am glad Fifita was resigned and would be thrilled if Weddle were drafted. He is probably an NFL Safety and can return kicks.

Because we have Culpepper who is healthy and can read coverages and doesn't throw alot of INT's....duh..........
 
I like Rowe, but like someone said that may be too hig, and I think it's too high for Mozes. I don't think Mozes would fit well in our offense either, but that's because of how drastically different the offense he comes from is.

I do not think Willis is a reach. If Willis is the best LB in this draft, and you need a LB, and you are sure he will be a highly productive dolphin for ten years, then he is not a reach. The same for Levi Brown. If the guy plays an important position and you know that guy can play it at a high level, then its never a reach. Its only a reach according to the rankings in people heads.

He does throw INTs plus you get the added benefit of fumbles and sacks to go along with his play:shakeno:

If the player stands a great chance of making your team and you can project him to be a quality starter for your team right away or in a years time then he is not a reach. He is a very good pick!

I'd rather reach for a guy that I feel will start or contribute to my team right away or in a year than pick a player because of his rankings and he's a bust!
 
I don't want to risk drafting any player whose heart or intelligence is in question. I read a scouting report on Brown that said he had all the tools. So does Big Daddy Wilkinson. The report said Brown could end up a leader in the NFL who anchors your offensive line, or, he could end up a failure and a complete disappointment. His heart is in question. With Mac we know what we have. We shouldn't risk a top ten pick on this guy. If Holliday doesn't re-sign with us we should draft Okoye, he has all the tools and at 19 years old has upside and potential unsurpassed.

This could be said of any draft pick. Levi showed me enough during the season, in the bowl game against Tenneesee and the Senior Bowl to see that this guy has what it takes to be a very good player in the NFL.
