1. Connor Barwin- He's not going to be there at our 2a and yes he is raw but he is so intense in everything that I have seen from him. He is smart, versatile, passionate, and has the ability to become a dominate OLB for us and can develop faster with our intense and disciplined regime

2a. Vontae Davis/DJ Moore- Here's where we pick our CB while still getting in on the LB action early. Someone has to fall and both of these corners are aggressive, which we desperately need to establish a presence in our backfield

2b. Clint Sintim- I see him more of an ILB prospect and with Crowder, Barwin, Wake, JP, Roth and Akin we have many ways to come at teams with our extremely versatile LB group.

3. James Casey- I like this guy. Seems to do it all and will definately give our offense an extra dimension.

so what do you think?

I like the idea of getting an OLB and ILB early. I don't like the Vonte Davis pick. I think he is going to be a problem in the lockerroom and with the coaching staff. I like confident attitudes not arrogant A-Holes. Casey, while I would not be annoyed with the pick, I think he does not fit our style of offense. You probably envision him as an H-Back in the WildCat and that is a good reason for drafting him. But we are primarily going to be a going to be a power running team and he is lacking in his blocking. I think a better pick later in the draft would be Richard Quinn(UNC). He was used primarily as a blocker in college and earned the nickname "Big Rich" because he was basically another OT on the line of scrimmage. Also, he is decent at catching the underneath routes. I think it would be easier to teach someone to become a better pass catcher than trying to teach someone to develop into a power blocker. JMO

yea i really think we should strengthen our LB core this draft, possibly even picking up Laurinaitis in 2a and still get a good corner at 2b. TE is where we need to have some talent at even with fasano emerging. TE's like Ingram, Casey, or Cook at 3 would be a good choice as they bring size and athleticism to the unit. You were right I was thinking about Casey as an Hback in the wildcat but he can pretty much do what Polite does with picking up the short gains as well as catching passes and possibly throwing. That way we wouldnt have to use a roster spot for such a one dimensional player. 4th round and on im not so sure who it will be but i would like to see another CB or fs/ss, OT, WR and NT.

the only pick i really like is clint sintem and i think he would go with our first of 2nd round picks. i wouldnt be too upset if we took connor barwin though.

You really don't think he'll be there at 2a? I think there's a possibility with all these hybrids in this draft. I think if someone of value falls to our 25 pick we take them instead of reaching for Barwin. Don't get me wrong, I like Barwin a lot and would love to have him but I think we can get him at 2a or at least trade up 3 or 4 picks instead of getting him at 25 where we could get a higher rated player.

Detroit, New England, Cleavland, and Green Bay could potentially start grabbing up most of the LB's in round 2 before our pick and I wouldn't want to see our front office know that they want this player, pass on him, get desperate, and throw a pick or possibly 2 just to get the same person they would of wanted in the first place.
