OK, I'll just get right to it.........

NO's Passing Game Vs. Miami's Pass Defense:

Aaron Brooks has had his problems this year.......4 TD's and 8 INT's, but his problems are nothing in comparison to Miami's pass defense. Sam Madison has been decent but ALL of the other CB's have been flat out Horrible. Brooks will make a bunch of very bad plays, will try to do too much, and will turn the ball over, BUT, He also has all the skills to play in this league, and he "Can" pick a defense apart. Joe Horn might not play in this game, but their WR's are still very fast, and that could equal trouble for Miami's Secondary. If Miami doesn't get On Aaron Brooks, and their CB's continue to play like they have been it's going to be a VERY long day for the Phins. Brooks Will make some mistakes, but Miami has to force him to make them. EDGE: NO's(until Miami proves they can stop even just a decent QB/WR combo they don't deserve to be given the edge in this category)

NO's Run Game, Vs. Miami's Run Defense:

As we all know Deuce McAllister will not be playing, and that sounds like a very good thing for the Phins, but Antowain Smith, and Aaron Stecker have been pretty solid, and both of them are actually averaging more YPC than Deuce was before his Injury. Miami's Run D was Outstanding the first three games, and they have the players to pick that form back up, but they need to finish tackles. They make a lot of plays where they will get to the ball carrier at or behind the line of scrimmage, but will not make the tackle. Channing Crowder has done a pretty nice job for a Rookie, but he's been caught out of position an aweful lot as well. If Jr. Seau can play this week it will be a Huge lift for this defense, and we should see a pretty big improvement in this area. EDGE: Miami(they got pushed around a little bit by KC but That was KC, Miami's Run Defense will step it up again, and as mentioned before will get a big boost from Seau assuming he plays this week)

Miami's Pass Offense Vs. NO's Pass Defense:

New Orleans is ranked 5th in the league in pass defense, but that is mostly because their Run Defense has been so poor, and teams haven't needed to pass much against them(they have the second fewest pass attempts against them in the league). There will be opportunity's to throw the ball in this game, but the Huge question will be whether or not Miami can take advantage of them. Frerotte has been terrible at completing the big wide opens plays, if he just completes a couple of these per game Miami would be in good Shape. EDGE: Miami(Miami's WR's are better than NO's DB's and like I said there will be plenty of Opportunities here for them, Miami's QB HAS to hit on a couple of these eventually)

Miami's Run Offense Vs. NO's Run Defense:

NO's run defense has been pretty bad(ranked 26th in the league, and allowing 4.4 YPC). They don't really have any standout guys along their front 7, and teams so far have pretty much ran though them. Miami's O-line is shaky, and their ground game has been somewhat shaky as well, although a major part of that is because they just haven't ran the ball much. Ronnie Brown has looked spectacular the last few weeks, and needs to get the ball a lot more. Ricky Williams looks like he could break one at any time, but hasn't done much yet, and at this point in his comeback should just be a guy to give a breather for Ronnie Brown. EDGE: Miami(Only thing that would prevent Brown/Williams from having a big day is if the Coaching staff continues to keep the ball out of their hands, Especially Brown's. If Brown gets 20 or more carries this week, and RW gets a few more Miami's Rush Rankings will go up a few spots!!!)

OVERALL: Miami(Overall, Miami is just a more talented team, and this game really just comes down to a few things for the Phins.......Keep Brooks From Making Big Plays, Make Good On your Opportunities, and RUN THE BALL. Two of these shouldn't even be an issue because running the ball more is COMPLETELY in Miami's control so there's no excuse not to do it, and as I mentioned before they HAVE to be able to hit on a couple of plays eventually in the pass game. So just run The Ball, control the clock, and make the plays that you SHOULD make and it's win #3 for Miami)

heres my take on this upcoming game gus blows it yet again. thats a good analysis

if we lose to the saints its going to be awhile before we win again. I keep thinking the same thing with gus, he's due for a good game and if he has one we're stuck with him for another three or four games. I think this is a no lose for us. If we in its great and if we lose Gus is probably done for the year

I havn't watched one fins game this year that the fins didn't have a chance to win the game. We got beat this week by a KC team that leads the NFL in rushing TD's over the last several years. Sabans plan is to win, obviously. Sometimes it just takes time. I honestly don't understand the fans here. In the KC game they played better because they have a SB winning HC, and their team chemistry is better because they've been running the same system for a few years now.

All the games we have lost this year could have been wins IMO, we just need the ball to bounce our way. How many times did you see a D player for the fins three yrds into KC's backfield and just miss droping the RB for a loss?? I saw at least four plays that we could have made plays for loses. How many points did we leave on the field?? I saw at least three plays that should have been scores for us.

I don't mind losing games that I know we could have won because it shows things are close. Consider the teams that win alot, what do they have that we don't?? Two things that I can tell on O, QB and WR. Chambers is a good WR but lets face it, he doesn't scare anyone. Maybe because we don't have a QB maybe because we don't have a second threat at WR, who knows. I do know Chambers makes really great catches two or three times a game but he also drops way to many passes to be considered a top tier WR.

What I see on D that is lacking is Sam Madison is not a good CB and who knows how good Poole would have been this year but you can bet Saban will sign a CB or two this coming off season. Saban will also add depth to the D-line mainly the interior D-line.

All in all I think Saban has done wonders so far the team is competetive they are just missing IMO, I can live with that. I hate seeing the fins lose as much as anybody here but I know to build a championship team, a team built to dominate over a long period of time doesn't happen over night. I really hate reading all the hate our fans spew it just makes the loses tougher to deal with, for all the fin fans that hate to lose, I'll bet none of you hate to lose more then Saban and company. I look forward to the turn around be it this year ,next year or the following year. But rest assured this team will be at the top of the league soon!!!!

Man...I should have written this because I agree 100%. Great post!!!

im glad we are playing NO this week, though we should never take a team lightly, this is a game where our offense should have an opportunity to have a break out game...

Like I've said before I still find it very very hard to judge Chris Chambers ability when the best QB he's EVER had throwing him the ball was Jay Fiedler

i know, so many times hes open and the QB cant get him the ball, or doesn't look his way, or throws a bad pass and he tries to adjust and its INT'd and people will yell at him for not fighting for the ball...

im happy with our recieving core, we just need more accuracy from the QB and more time from our oline...

Nice effort. Thanks for the read.

I must say I don't understand how you can give the Miami offensive the edge in this game. Miami played a worse defense in KC than the one we will play against in NO and we couldn't do jack against them. Even at home. Now we are going on the road and I just don't expect the O to do much better...

Well I give Miami's offense the Edge, because.......We have better players on Offense than NO's has on Defense. KC's defense isn't as bad as their ranking would suggest, they also have some good players on that side of the ball, and I can't say the same for New Orleans. Miami's talent has to overcome some of the missed opportunities eventually, and if they run the ball more(Which I think They Will) we will see a whole differen't offense anyway. The Colts offense didn't do a whole lot the first few games, but their Offense was still better than the defenses that they faced. And NO I am in no way shape or form comparing our offense to the Colts, but it's kinda of along the same lines of how they had talent but weren't putting it all together at that time. I truly think Our Offense will do well, if We lose it will be because Brooks Torches our secondary(which he is more than capable of doing) I gave the edge to NO's in 1 category, gave Miami the edge in 3 category's, but the question is........Does NO's single edge outweigh Miami's 3????

Bottom Line Up Front (BLUF), Miami's defense has to blitz, blitz, blitz to force Broks to make poor choices and the offense needs to run, run, run....we need to ride Ricky and Ronnie the whole way and NOT ABANDON the run game..
