As far back as I can remember, I have always put a little something on the Phins to win the Super Bowl, AFC and their division.. It's been a long time since I won any of the bets, but each year, in my own quiet little way, this was my way of supporting our team... BUT...

This year I doubt I will place any money on the team... New Coach, new QB and most importantly a lack of interest in this years season... I think the team is lucky to go 8-8...

There is no doubt I will get hyped up come September and I hope the Fins do well, I just think a wise man should save his money this year and hope for better years to come..

Anyone else thinking the same?

If you have made this bet for a long time then why would you place it the first year Saban got here and Sabans second year here. This team has a better shot than last years team.

I mean you'll be getting great odds so if they do pull a miracle and you bet before the season the payout would be fantastic.

Its a risky bet but the rewards would be there, i mean you could bet on a favorite like the colts and have very little odds.

But with betting in general people say to stay away from your favorite teams because of your pre disposed judgement.

I say bet a low amount just to keep the tradition you have going and if the phins lose this year you're not out that much money.

yea I say go for it too... I mean it's tradition for you right? So why not keep it going.... and I do think we have a better shot than last year's too also

Taking them to win the Super Bowl, Conference, or even the Division is a bit of a long shot but you have to keep the streak alive bro.

A GREAT way to put some money down and actually see a return on your investment would be to take them to go over 7 wins. This is a no brainer in my opinion. 2 vs the Bills, Cleveland, Oakland, Houston. There is 5 wins right there!!! And even if they don't do as well as hoped, you can still push on your bet at 7 wins. The only downfall to betting this is that the juice is a bit high now that some folks have had a chance to soak in some of the changes to our roster with Green behind center and the positive outlook on Ginn and Booker. Keep in mind that our defense was one of only 3 teams to be top 5 (or maybe top 10) in yardage allowed from scrimmage, total rush defense and total pass defense. And we'll only get better this year.

The time to bet is when no one is picking you to win. It's a great bet. Here are 5 reasons the Dolphins could win it all.

1. This is largely the same team that people picked to win it last year with a better QB and more speed.

2. Defense. Defense wins championships and this defense is as good as anyone's.

3. X-Factor: Ginn on special teams is going to change the game and make the kicking game a big plus. He will also be a slash player on offense causing matchup problems.

4. Ronnie Brown's Year: The Ricky issues are gone, Ronnie is going to get he rock and he is working hard all of season to prove the nay sayers wrong. Ronnie is going to be a man this year.

5. The Surprise Factor: Everyone is dissing the dolphins. Teams are going to let up and then their going to pay. Every year there is a team that jumps the expectations, this year it is Miami.

Bet it man. No guarantees but this is a much better team than people think.

You've been betting for all these years...Why stop now? I put money on the Phins when I went to Vegas. Gotta have faith brother!:kick:

If you are like me the one time you don't play your numbers they come in. Put a little something on the fins then you won't feel like an arse if they suprise. I think they just might .

55:1 on bodog man...just put down $100 and get your $5500 in February!
