Despite the performance and the result Sunday what a weekend I've just had in London
Just like to say I had a really awesome weekend despite the game itself I was sat in club wembley again probably the last time I sit here? I was surrounded by either people who didn't know what the hell was going on or jets fans I could hardly find another dolphins fan in the block and if there were any I didn't here them cheering the team on like we did? Real flat atmosphere so will try lower sideline next time?
Anyway the good bits, arrived Friday checked in the hotel at covent garden went shopping treated the wife to a nice 1ct diamond ring to keep me in the good books and a nice meal in Leicester Square. Enjoyed the fan rally on Saturday did all the activities there and enjoyed the stage show left as soon as Dan Marino left the stage. We decided to try and find the miami dolphins pub the sun & 13 cantons while Google mapping the direction a fins and jets couple Anthony and Amanda offered to show us the way. Very nice of them I thankfully bought them a drink for there kindness and enjoyed talking to pub full of fellow dolphins fans we were only there about 40 mins when I was at the bar I heard my wife call me and say you will never guess who is walking in the pub?
Only Dan Marino!
well I was in shock to say the least lol I'm not one to be starstruck but I must admit I've been a dolphins fan since 1980 and Marino has been my sporting hero for the last 32 years! Before I knew it my wife was pushing me forward to meet the great man I shook his hand and told him it was a real honour and could I have a photo after which I slipped away to let the other fans have there moment. Dan stayed in the bar for only a few minutes before going down stairs to a private room for a private autograph session.
Very cool to meet your lifetime hero once and for all
During the next couple of hours a host of former players arrived to meet the fans joe rose sam madison nat more mark Clayton mark duper OJ McDuffie with joe rose and Sam madison being my favourite 2 sam was amazing signing and shaking everyone's hand in the whole pub and I really enjoyed talking some football with Sam both current and his era.
I would also like to thank all the fans and the fin troopers there they were all great singing the dolphins fight song 4 or 5 times outside was a blast overall a weekend I will never forget and I met some new friends both personally and on the Web from uk Netherlands Germany usa and spain.
