My biggest concern, and why next week could get REALLY interesting, really fast.

Dude, I will be honest. I did present it in a logical way and gave reasons why....asked a couple questions and in return was insulted...have a good day.

I didn't insult you. And your post wasn't logical. You used strawmen in order to tear down my opinion.

The draft is used to make teams better. That's it's purpose. The reason the draft process is the way it is, is so teams don't have an unfair advantage.

My "if" is different that your "if". Why? Because a healthy Manning IS great. And "IF" he's healthy why get rid of him? If he's not healthy then out entire debate is no longer valid.

Predict the future? The Colts defense sucks. It's rarely been good since Peyton has been there. It has always been their weakness.

"Most likely" and "up for debate" are the same thing. If you don't/can't see that then I don't know what to tell you.

I believe this to be the case as well. After witnessing the Colts debacle of a season this year I think Irsay has finally come to the realization that without Manning, whose end is'nt very far off regardless of health, this team is not capable of success. Because of this he has brought in a new GM and coaching staff who want to completely rebuild this team around Andrew Luck in a image which they deem as a more complete team. The hope is this will make this a contender over the long haul, not for the present. I don't know how successful this will be but it's Irsay's call and I believe this to be the route he's taking.

This may happen. I don't agree with it if Irsay does go this route, but thanks for presenting your opinion with something other than "waht I heard" and "because I said so". ;)

If Manning is healthy, most experts think he'll play for 4 to 5 more years. It's too soon to take Luck to "learn" from Manning. This option makes the least sense. It's probably the most popular among stupid fans and pundits who care for nothing more than ratings, but it's pure unadulterated stupidity. It will ruin the franchise. IF Peyton is healthy you trade that #1 pick and fix the defense. A healthy Peyton is the surest thing to getting back to the Super Bowl. Luck, with a crapping defense, gets you nowhere.
Wait, so no one knows what's gonna happen but you? You're explanation was cute and all but peyton is owning their cap. For one they probably won't know if he's going to be able to fully throw the football by the time he is due 28 million dollars. So they would essentially be making their already **** roster worse, while gambling on peytons arm being ready for the season. irsay has repeated himself that the decision wont be one based on emotions and sedimentary. Believe me, i pray and hope irsay would only be that stupid.

The draft is used to make it fair and balanced, not to "make teams better".....we can do this all day. I disagree with you, cause free agency and trades can "make teams better".

No strawmen were used in my post, simple facts.

Whether or not the Colts defense has sucked doesn't mean anything going forward, unless you want to use it as a basis when you SPECULATE how they will do in the future.

Most likely and up for debate are most certainly NOT the same and if you cannot see that they do in fact mean ALMOST the exact opposite, I do not know what to tell YOU. But I will try:

Most likely=near 100%
up for debate=50-50

You cannot say that "Manning most likely will go down as the greatest qb of all time "and then say in the next sentence that " Marino most likely will go down as the greatest qb of all time". BUT I can say that Manning is in the debate as the greatest qb ever, and I can also say in the next sentence that Marino is in the debate as the greatest qb ever....do you see now...if you need more help with the definition of speculation as well, just ask.

we have to trust Philbin on this one. If he wants Flynn then that's the way to go. If he doesn't want him then I'm willing to take a chance on Manning but that's a very risky move.

Ozzy rules!!

I know one thing.....IF Peyton touches the field, for any team, defenders better beware. Flags will be flying.

Peyton's agent is already talking new team.

Peyton is now said to be on Miami's shortlist.

Peyton is well worth the money even if he only plays 10 games and Moore plays the other 6 to rest Manning. That is how I would look at all this. We could have a good backup to rest the best if we had to and new Olinemen to protect the man. We certainly can get players to redo contracts in order to bring in Manning.

All signs seem to point Manning will be looking at Miami and Miami looking at Manning. It fits better than any other team and I believe, if Manning can play anything close to what he was, we will be better than the colts ever were. Also, reggie wayne will look to move back home as well. Im getting stoked.
