I know I havae alienated a lot of folks with my quest to have the best wr corp and all but gosh darn it , I am very thirsty for a super bowl victory and I am ready for us to unseat those bozozs from the the northeast.

one item that needs to be discussed is special teams what do we need to do there to get more turnovers and more returns for touchdowns ?

Now about my fear , with the pats and Bills upgrading their wr corp and the jets geting better defensively I am slightly worried that the Bills and Jets will pass us by unless we do two things.

one add some real muscle on the dline and in the secondary.

two get better in the redzone and score at least 24 to 28 points a game and most importantly lets get another ot like Michael Oher who is a great story coming from a homeless background and all he would fill our needs on the oline.

the only reason i have some fear is that i got caught up in the T.O. hype and that is why i have busting everyone's chops lately . Plus I am a dolphin fan who loves to throw the ball intermediate 30% and throw the ball deep 25 % of the time.

I miss the days of throwing it down field and that is why i have been cranky lately .

My biggest fear concearning our team is the stadium running out of alcohol in the 2nd quarter.

All good things take time, the FO has a plan and it is a 3-4 yr plan. We could very well take a step back next year record wise but I think we will still pull out a wild card if not the div once again. To be honest the only team that has me concerned is NE mainly what will Brady come back as, the world beater in 2007 or a qb that is not as mobile as he once was and plays scared of getting hurt again.
As for the Jets They are rebuilding and are 2 years in behind us, Buffalo Yeah TO is there but just wait until thing start to go wrong for him and he starts pointing fingers. Buffalo will self destruct by mid season.
So unless something bad happens like a bad hit of injuries I see this as a 2 pony race, NE and Us.

TO won't get ten yards before edwards is sacked, and the jest don't have a person that can throw the football. My biggest fear is that the coaching staff would actually listen to some of the posters on this board.

The draft hasn't even happened yet, so evaluating teams is pretty ridiculous right now. That said, i believe the Dolphins are significantly better than the Jets and Bills. You're talking about teams with KEY question marks, while the Dolphins really don't have any. I mean sure we have areas we could improve on, but we're not going into the season wondering who is going to be starting at QB, is that person good enough, and is our o-line good enough to protect him.

I appreciate your concerns and enthusiasm, but I don't think there is any reason to panic because of what the other teams in the AFC East have done. the Jets and Bills are both in trouble at QB. if TO wasn't happy with guys like Garcia, McNabb and Romo, he is going to hate Edwards. I would say the over-under on him imploding is about week 5. Brady makes the Patriots better, but their o-line is still suspect and teams with a good pass-rush won't give Brady time to find Moss downfield.
I don't worry about special teams because the Trifecta values them so much. there are a bunch of guys that are on the team just because of their special teams abilities. it's the reason London dressed over Wilford.
I agree about desire to see more points. but if you are wanting to see the ball downfield, it will have to come when Henne takes over. I expect a better running team this year which should open up the passing game a bit. it will still be a ball-control approach, though.

I think both the Jets and the Bills are going to be operating a run heavy offense this year. NE may go to a heavy run game too depending on how long it takes Brady to get his timing back. I think our run defense is our biggest priority.

My biggest concern from last season on the other side of the ball is converting 3rd downs. We need to find ways to keep the chains moving. 3rd and over 5 last year was killing us.

Another concern I have is with our kicker, Carpenter. His kickoffs are weak and it seems like his confidence was shaken a bit last year. I think sporano may have asked him to make some kicks that he should not of.

we need to take the best player available. period.

Other than OT, OG, C, QB, RB, TE, DE and safety.

We need to the take the best player available at CB, OLB, NT, WR or MLB.

Michael Oher is a fantastic player but if he fell to 25, why would he not just fall right past us? Teams with much bigger needs at tackle pass on a guy so a team with the highest paid LT and RT in the league take him. I don't think so.

There will be plenty of defensive players available at 25 and 44 for us to choose from.

-The Jets don't have Favre any more, they have major QB needs.
-The Bills have QB ?'s themselves, also at this point is T.O. more of a negative than a positive. One of the Bill biggest problems was QB protection, and they just traded one of the best tackles in football. Their OL is a big concern
- The Pats put their entire franchise on Brady's repaired knee, not smart. To compound the blunder, they traded Cassell to the Chiefs, along with Vrable (big defensive loss) for only a second round pic. They could have got a lot more for Cassell, but the Pats mixed buisness and friendship, I hope it bites them in the butt!

My point is the other teams have major issues to deal with and it should be a tight race again.

I think what he means is that we are pretty set at T with Long and Carey need depth but not a #25 pick worth of depth.

Don't be surprised if these guys move
Carey to OG. They did a similar thing with Leonard Davis in Dallas.

If a good OT does slide it could happen, but I would rather go OT later seeing as how we are talking RT and a backup. My choice would be Sebastian Vollmer and Joel Bell in the 4th and 5th if they move Carey.

Don't forget about Garner. He has some talent but was extremely raw, starting only 1 year at Arkansas.

I was just wondering basically if we need to draft one more oline sorry if that didnt come out right but i was high on Michael oher for some reason or another.
