So i know that we can beat up on every single player on the team. But Tannehill seems to be the topic of discussion as of late since we gave him a big contract.

Do i think he is better than any of the current elite QB's? NO. Is he in the middle of the pack? YES. You do not need an elite QB to win in the nfl but it does help you out a hell of alot in the regular season. As for the post season you need the team to step up to a whole another level. Look at Brad Johnson or Trent Dilfer. If you think that those guys are better QB's than Tannehill will be. I would say your wrong. I would say those QB's were well below average and we know that those defenses won those superbowls and their regular season games. I think most of us would be in agreeance that great teams (Dynasties) start with good/smart ownership at the top and coaching. We have not had good coaching since the 90's. I dont think we will be getting new ownership. So we need to start with a proven winning coach. At least to give us fans something to look forward to when the team is on the field. Yes alot of us got excited with the SUH signing. Seeing that as i have seen in the past i am against giving any one player that kind of money unless they are a top 5 QB. As good as SUH can be it is hard to ever justify giving a player that is not a QB that kind of money.

Sorry for ranting and not making any cohesive sense. Blame it on the alcohol.

My biggest issue with Tannehill is that he holds onto the ball to damn long. I would say 30% of his sacks come from him not getting rid of the ball when he has plenty of time to do so.

His awareness and leadership are his two biggest problems and those are things that can't be fixed by anyone but himself.

He has terrible pocket presence and is clueless as to how to run out of trouble or even step away from the pass rush. He stands there like a deer in headlights and gets splattered.

I don't like him

it's just that simple.

I would like to see him get benched.

Campbell did like a 90 hour work week getting past the incident with the walk through and RT talking smack to the practice squad guys.

He went out of his way to smooth that out and make it smoother than silk.

But, I can't help but think there may be more to that than we have been told so far.

Tannehill should be benched, it's that simple.

Nothing. If you watched this game and believed that Tannehill is even 0.000000001% of the problem you are delusional, destined to be a failure, mentally challenged, and Jeff Ireland wouldn't even have to ask you the question he asked Dez Bryant about his mother. He'd already know the answer.

Would like to see him play the way he does in garbage time when the game is still competitive. And not have the pocket awareness of a sophmore in high school.

In all honesty, those previous replies make a lot of sense to what I read in subject matter from you guys. So I can't tell if you're trolling or completely serious...

I hear Tannehill drives a blue car, and I hate the color blue. Therefor by extension, I just hate Ryan Tannehill...

He doesn't use his skills more often. Roll out and throw or run for 1st down yardage. His awareness is very bad. Fumbles easily. Inaccuracy in pressure situations. Stares down receivers. Cannot read defenses to change plays. Inability to make hot reads.

What happened to the option read? He seemed pretty good with it last year

He is an average quarterback on my favorite football team. One more year of him and we will move on to someone with elite potential hopefully.

He's soft. Not like can't take a hit soft. Mentally soft. I am really starting to worry about his career now. I'm trying to remind myself that cam Newton was struggling until this year too. But then I see other guys making throws I've never seen tannehill make, like Taylor and Brock osweiler right now. It sucks.

His issues in the pocket are serious. He's in his 4th season as a starter. His pocket awareness and movement probably will not improve measurably going toward. Sad but true.

I think we are delusional if we think an elite QB will solve this teams problems. you could put Peyton Manning in his prime and we would be a first round KO in the playoffs. if thats what we are hoping for, we are continually setting ourselves up for failure

I agree strongly his mental toughness needs a lot of work
