So I guess my dad is friends with a staff member of the Jaguars, and got hooked up to be on the Dolphins sideline as a cable holder for our RBs coach. He said it was such a surreal experience to be walking among the players and coaches, and getting to experience the intensity of the game. He said Jordan Cameron stepped on his foot with his cleats really hard and Cameron turned back and apologized immediately haha. He said he got to be near Ross, Hickey, Marino, and Tannebaum during warm ups and kind of got to see the braintrust of the orginization in action pregame. But at the same time he said he was also appalled at how stoic our team was even during crucial points in the game. He said Philbin rarely turned back to speak to any of the players, always walking back and forth on his headset and watching the field. Not many players beside Jarvis Landry showed emotion or even tried to rally one another, and that Suh was just on his headphones whenever he wasn't on the field ; he has to be pissed with Coyle's scheme to just tune out like this. Altogether he had a great time but still has major concerns for this team heading into back to back division games.

Thanks for the insight. Not a good thing for sure.

Not many coaches turn back to their players. Bowles is an example of this from last night. Thats not an issue.

The bigger issue is that Suh has ****ing headphones on the sideline and not conversing with the team. And that of course Jarvis Landry is the only one that cares.

sounds like a completely different team than we were hearing in the offseason, only week 2 and we have major issues

How is this an issue if you don't know what the context is?

Id say the biggest issue for me is the fact that Philbin rarely spoke out to his team. I mean you as a player are going out to crush someone, and you want to have someone have your back before doing so. Freaking pump up your team man, let's go.
the total lack of cohesion and togetherness is what is setting us back, not on talent, and that is on the coaching staff

I thought players weren't allowed to have headphones on the sidelines? Or was that just phones/ipods?

Maybe he was listening to audio recordings of the opposing snap count?

Can we please somehow close Jarvis Landry 52 more times

THIS is what the sports science program should be looking at accomplishing...I'd be happy to lend my services lol.

Must have been a great experience.... But unless he's been on the sidelines of most teams a couple of times, it's really hard to take anything away from it...

I find it hard to believe suh was like listening to his i pod or whatever in game...you sure he wasnt communicating with a coach up in the booth or something? I dont think i have ever seen that in game

Well from the reports we have read, he was probably listening to rage against the machine... " **** YOU I WON'T DO WHAT YOU TOLD MEEEE!"

Pretty disturbing, headphones on not involved in the game or with your teammates.
