1 ) Clint Sintim OLB 6-3 254 (Virginia)- He's perfect fit for us. Big, tough, physical linebacker which we will most certainly need in the future with JP's age a big issue.

2a ) Ron Brace NT 6-3 324 (Boston College)- I'm hoping he can fall this far for us, it might not happen though. If not then I'd look for Delmas or Rashad Johnson at Safety then maybe find a NT through FA, or try and develop Soliai. IMO after Brace is gone in the draft, there really wouldnt be many other NT's that would be able to fit our system

2b ) Eric Wood C 6-4 309 (Louisville)- With questions about Satele and D Thomas and their potential, I just don't think our O-Line is as solid as it should be. With our FO investing in Dave DeGulielmo to help improve our line, IMO we'll be out of the mucky waters soon.

3) Ramses Barden WR 6-6 227 (Cal Poly)- Our offense would be pretty much set with this guy. We need a big possesion receiver and Brandon London isn't quite there yet. Barden's stock is rising fast and i think we might even be lucky to get him this early.

4) Jasper Brinkley (S Carolina) or Worrell Williams (Cal) ILB- Fills a need with the probable release of Crowder.

I think BP and the gang will pursue more ILB's, DB's, OG's and possibly NT's through FA or later on in the draft. Thoughts?

i'm definitely ok with your mock...on Eric Wood though...does he have the frame to add another 10-15 lbs to his weight and still play effective?

Wood's potential is extremely high IMO. He's very physical and as long as he can still play physical while adding a few pounds, he'll be an upgrade from Satele.

well,i'm not downing Satele,i think he can be a good backup C/G,but i think&feel he'll be a better fit in a different offensive scheme than the smashmouth one we're building....if Eric Wood can be a smashmouth Center, then i'm all for us drafting him,and getting him to add weight up to 320-325...

Like the way that draft looks except for Brinkly. I think he will fall, and think we need some type of secvondary help in the first 4 rounds.

great mock, u and me are not that far from each other

rd1 sintim
rd2 macho harris
rd2b brace
rd3 barden

thats how i did my mock, but i still like that wood pick

I like this mock draft... but what does worries me a bit, is Clint Sintim; he didn't fair well at the Senior Bowl practices and game!!! he looked lathargic and seemed to be unable to slip or shed blocks... i read his stock is falling from the football post.com!!! Mike Lombardi is part of a group of player evaluators and they are saying Sintim didn't fair well... Ramses Barden is another guy that had his problems against upper tier players ... i have faith in the current regime to make the right call @ #25... i'm going to predict it's going to be someone we all didn't see coming... they seemed very interested in the safeties, linebackers and NT's during the practices!!! to be honest it woyuldn't suprise me to see them trade down to pick up extra picks... the strength of this draft seems to be in rounds 2-3!!!!

clint sintim played his way FAR out of the 1st round.

all of his question marks and weeknesses were exposed
during last weeks senior bowl practices and game. VERY
stiff, over runs plays, cant cover.

mock needs a tweek or two.

if the finz go lb with the 25, it will be CLAY MATHEWS who played
himself INTO the 1st round last week. [dolphins spoke to him at
length].

sintim looked like garbage in the senior bowl practices and game. can't handle being in space not a natural dropping into coverage not a good tackler stiff in the hips. one dimensional pass rusher who looked lost with his hand in the dirt in drills.

overrated

ramses barden has zero explosion. all his hype is due to his size and the #s he put up on inferior competition. slow in and out of his cuts and at the snap of the ball.

very underwhelming.
