My target for the draft is:

Gaines Adams - I just don't see how you can pass up a guy like this that affects the QB. These type of guys are the hardest to find. He will contribute from day one.

The curveball to my target is if Brady Quinn is still available, and Gaines is not then I would take Quinn. Otherwise I would try like hell to trade down if possible. Now thats not always possible so whether I traded down or picked at 9 if Gaines was not available I would pick in this order:

1. Dwayne Jarret
2. Laron Landry
3. Patrick Willis

Trading down is ideal because all three of these guys could be available along with guys like (if we traded down maybe even twice):

1. Sidney Rice
2. Levi Brown
3. Jamall Anderson
4. Ted Ginn jr.

The problem is it just seems like we are just out of reach of the top players in the draft. It looks like 5 or 6 top guys to me, then its a group of even talented players all the way upto around 20. I firmly beleive we shoudl trade down but I say that every year and it just never seems to happen. I miss the JJ draft days :(

In rounds 2 or 3 an offensive lineman is a must.

First off, DRAFT FORUM!

2nd, Jamall Anderson will be a top ten pick, no way he's there if we trade down. Willis isn't worth a top ten pick either, neither is Jarrett(who I think is really overrated).

And I think we can get a hell of a player at #9. However I think #8-12 can all get really good players.

shoot I thought I was in the draft forum...lol Hell look at my username I am obviously ******ed..lol

And if everyone(team's GMs) thinks like you, that players after the 'top 5-6' are equal all the way to 20, why would anyone want to trade up into the top 10, when they could trade to around 18 and get the same quality?

They won't thats why I said its hard to trade down, but I would try. Besides you never know when some numb nuts will trade up one spot for a fourth rounder :)

Levi Brown with the first pick, we must build our OL. Games are won & lost in the trenches, and right now our trenches are virtually empty.

Si.com has us picking Alan Branch who is 6-6 330 DT from michigan if you want to check it out go to si/nfl's page look for Don Bank's nfl draft I would give the link but it scrwed up.

I don't think we should draft anybody in any round who has this in their scouting report..........."Intelligence???????"
Laron Landry is too slow to take in the first round.
Jarrett may or may not be better than Hagan, but with Hagan ready to start next year we don't need another young WR of the same type. We need a burner, like Ginn.
Willis is a stretch but wouldn't it be great if we somehow found a way to get another pick in the middle of the first round so we could actually get him or Poluzny. Actually I think Willis is projected at ILB and we need an OLB. But Willis could probably play either.

I really like your line of thinking. I think you have identified our top priority which is to get a true #1 WR. I totally agree with going with Jarrett if he is available. Of course Calvin Johnson is the best (not just at WR but best player this year), but will be long gone by the time we are on the clock. Rice may be a good one in a couple of years. Amazing how many fans want Ginn, but rarely does a player who doesn't define himself in college at his position do so in the pros. He would be a big upgrade to our special teams, but not so much at WR. I totally agree that Miami should draft CJ, Jarrett, Rice, Ginn in that order if they go WR.

I also like you have identified Willis as a possible. He is one of those players that bc of measurable's draft guru's will say he is not a top 10 pick, but I see him as a player that can be the glue that holds the defense together for a decade. He just makes plays...hmmm...sounds like a #54 already on our roster. Reminds me a lot of DeMeco Ryans last year. Of course, who could argue with a possible LT (but is Levi that player?) or play maker in the secondary.

Good job!

Would Adams even start with JT and Carter here?

he wouldn't start (unless they try to move him to LB in a 4-3 like Cincy did with Pollack), but he'd get a lot of PT. W need a young pass rusher to compliment Roth (who is the power DE). If Adams is there and I guy like Quinn isn't he's PBA, however my preference would be to get someone who could start at 9 and then get a pass usher in round 2 or 3 (Anthony Spencer or Dan Bazurin)

Do you people understand that it was listed in the Miami Dolphins football section? I didn't find it in the scroll down box.
