Unless it's a smokescreen or something, if we get an Olineman with our #9 pick, there's a good chance it will be Joe Staley from Central Michigan. His 40 yard dash time of 4.7-something is
DAMN good for somebody who is 6'5" 302 lbs. If we could also somehow pick up Ben Grubbs as a guard in the 2nd round, I bet Hudson Houck would give thanks to the football gods and be in hog heaven.

I like this:
"Compares To: Ross Verba, Detroit Lions …
Staley's foot speed can rival that of Oakland's Robert Gallery, but he plays with much better aggression … Like Verba,
Staley shows great fire and aggressiveness in his play …
He has the vision and alertness to pick up stunts and the foot speed to easily neutralize edge rushers … Like Verba, Staley needs to add more bulk to play left tackle at the next level, but his strength and speed are great assets that will make him ideal protecting the quarterback's blind side."

"03/16/07 - Former Central Michigan left tackle Joe Staley had an impressive pro day workout on Thursday and the Dolphins, who have strong interest in him, were on hand, according to scout John Murphy of Yahoo! Sports. The 6-foot-5, 305-pound Staley, a former tight end, was timed around 4.8 in the 40-yard dash and also had
great times in agility drills. Staley also had a 32-inch vertical jump and a 9-foot-9 broad jump. He opted not to bench press after doing 27 reps at the combine "
That was probably one of the best all-around workouts I've seen by a big tackle in recent years," a veteran offensive line scout told Murphy. "
He (Staley) moves around like a defensive back: light on his feet and just great movement skills and agility. "My personal assessment would be that kid does not last past the Top-20 picks. Just too much ability and the potential to lock down a left tackle spot for the next 10 years." I've been told by several people for a while now that this the guy the Dolphins want at left tackle, not Penn State's Levi Brown. Brown is slipping and is viewed by a lot of people as more of a right tackle. Does that mean the Dolphins won't take Brown? No. But I'm told he's nowhere near worth the ninth pick in this draft. - Palm Beach Post"
He compared pretty well versus Levi Brown:
