I know I'm going to take flak for saying dump Culpepper, Chambers and Booker, but I think it's time to move on and try winning on offense with new blood. I certainly hope this is an offense-heavy draft. Both Quinn and Jarrett falling into our lap is most surely a pipe dream, but I'd love to get one of the two at the positions above. Sidney Rice is a more reasonable possibility at 40. I think there's still a chance of Quinn falling to us, though.

That's still way too much. I agree Ryan Harris has potential, but both out WRs to move up 5 spots in round three to take an OT? That would leave us with who, 2nd-year player Hagan and Az-Hakim, who is just as old as Chambers and Booker, as our WRs? Plus 3 rookie WRs and a rookie TE (going by your draft)? I wouldn't feel comfortable with that, especially for an O-lineman. I would like Harris too, but not at that cost.

What if Brady Quinn is Ryan Leaf? What if Dwayne Jarrett is Mike Williams? We would have essentially let our defense get another year older while making our offense even worse. You can't stake everything on one draft . . . simply expecting all of the players to pan out.

Those are all positions of need, or positions that could use some depth, WAY before we need 3 new WRs and a new TE. Exactly. How quickly people seem to forget what it felt like to hear Jason Taylor might be retiring! Zach is one serious injury away from retirement. Porter could be slowing up. Crowder has bad knees. And our secondary and line still have a lot of long term work to be done. I just don't understand this offensive first attitude from so many people.

We're rebuilding. We're in decent shape on defense with Porter, Taylor and Thomas leading the way, but pathetically horrid on offense. At least with a young offense we could get some growing pains this year, and improve upon it each year. We could build our offense around Quinn, Ronnie Brown, and Dwayne Jarrett. They could be the centerpieces of our offense for the next decade. The Houckster has worked wonders in the past with a rag tag unit, so I'm not too concerned about his ability to squeeze a lot out of our OL. Ben Patrick and Kenny Irons would be great picks at 60 and 108 respectively, solidifying our TE and RB core. Throw in Ricky Williams, and our offense might be respectable despite its youth, much like our defense was this time ten years ago.

Of course, we can focus on defense in next year's draft. We're in decent shape defensively. This draft ought to be about offense, offense, offense.

Also that trade of chambers and booker, two starters for us who have each been to a probowl, for the 108th pick - for an unproven OT? Now dont get me wrong I am fed up with Chambers production, or lack there of, but that would be a horrendous trade. we cant have all of our recievers basically be rookies either. remember Hagan is still learning. We could get better value from those guys also.

But I do agree that we need new blood on offense. I also like that you a drafting a TE. I believe that we need to upgrade there badly, I am not sold at all on that one guy, whatever his name is, from GB. Who is he again? We need to draft offense, I understand that we also need to not completely forget about the defense, but I am sick and tired of us having one of the worst offenses in the nfl. I am tired of me asking myself if we will be lucky enough to score over ten points. I want playmakers on that side of the ball. Im with yah on that Blitz 100%

QB is a HUGE need, and we could use another stud WR (still think Chambers is one if he just gets some consistency at QB), and prolly a young TE to groom, not to mention some offensive line probs. However, we could also use depth at LB, DE, and DT, as well as some fresh talent at DB. Our 2 stars on D (Taylor and Thomas) aren't getting any younger. Taylor already contemplated retirement, and Thomas can't be too far off from the same. We had an EXCELLENT window a few years ago when we had that great defesive backfield plus our LBs and D-line were on fire. However, we dropped the ball on offense (a lot of times literally). So I think while offense is obviously the BIGGER need, defense could use a few fresh potential starters and some young depth too.

yah somewhere in that general percentage I will be happy with. You can never just completely ignore one side of the ball. I agree with you on our offensive needs completely. QB is a dire need, so is Oline as we need to add three of four in that regard.As for the TE, I am not buyin what that TE from GB is sellin. So I would also like to add a young TE, really like olsen, but most likely it would be Patrick or my boy Zach Miller. At the WR position I would like to add someone as well. If Quinn is out of the picture, I want us to take Ginn at 9. That would solve that situation. Plus, I think Cam could have some fun with Ginn on offense. Not only that but, as im sure you know, he would help on special teams. And like Boomer said, he would give you that reggie bush effect on the field. And you cannot have enough of the reggie bush effect on your team, that is for sure.
