Starter
Here is my final 53 man Roster... and thoughts on why some players are ahead of others.
Offense
QB- Chad Pennington, Josh McCown, Chad Henne
RB- Ricky Williams, Ronnie Brown, Patrick Cobbs, Jalen Parmalee
FB- Boomer Grigsby
TE- Anthony Fasano, Justin Peele, David Martin
WR- Ted Ginn, Derek Hagan, Davone Bess <> Greg Camarillo, Ernest Wilford
LT- Jake Long, Ike Ndukwe
LG- Justin Smiley, Shawn Murphy
C- Samson Satele,
RG- Donald Thomas, Trey Darilek (also can play Center)
RT- Vernon Carey, Daren Heerspink
Defense
NT- Jason Ferguson, Paul Soliai
DE- Vonnie Holliday, Kendall Langford, Randy Starks(can also play DT), Phillip Merling, Rod Wright
OLB- Matt Roth, Joey Porter, Charlie Anderson, Quentin Moses, Rob Ninkovich
ILB- Channing Crowder, Akin Ayodele, Reggie Torbor, Edmond Miles
CB- Will Allen, Michael Lehan, Andre Goodman, Joey Thomas, Nate Jones
FS- Jason Allen, Chris Crocker
SS- Yeremiah Bell, Keith Davis
K- Dan Carpenter
P- Brandon Fields
LS- John Denney
Practice Squad
RB- Lex Hilliard
LB- junior Gymph
WR- Anthony Armstrong
G- Matt Spanos
S- Courtney Bryan
CB- Will Billingsley
DE- Lionel Dotson
TE- Sean Ryan
QB-- First off I think McCown stays ahead of Henne only because of play experience and because I dont think management wants Henne to step on the field this season quite yet. If he does it would be late in the season (final 2 games if not in playoff contention).
RB/FB--Jalen Parmalee has shown he can play in the NFL. He obviously edges out Hilliard. And Mauia has not been consistent and doesnt play special teams as well as Grigsby.
WR- Bess and Camarillo are still battleing for that slot receiver position and i think they flip flop from time to time depending on yardage situations. Bess going short yardage and Camarillo long yardage.
TE- Peele can block and catch ahead of Martin who drops the ball too often.
Oline- Obvious here.
And on Defense I have Lehan ahead of Goodman because of his big play ability. I think they are equal in talent but Lehan has the goods to be special if he can just stay healthy.
Jason Allen edges out Crocker. But not by much. They are very similar players. both play special teams and both can play CB if need be. JA has the upside and i think he stays the starter.
There you have it. Thoughts???
