My Final Draft (incl pick to Dallas)

With Dallas having no problems dealing with Parcells, could a move be in the mix to send Jason Taylor for M. Spears?

1. (1) Jake Long, OT, Michigan
2a. (32) Limas Sweed, WR, Texas 6'4", 220
2b. (57) Brandon Flowers, CB, VTech 5'10", 195
3. (64) Jeremy Zuttah, OG, Rutgers 6'3", 305
4. (100) Traded to Cowboys
6a. (195) Carlton Powell, DT, Virginia Tech, 6-2, 294,
6b. (204) Bryan Kehl, LB, BYU 6'3", 245
7a. (208) Carlton Medder, OT, Florida, 6'5", 318
7a. (245) Darnell Terrell, CB, Missouri, 6-3, 205

Free agent (undrafted) signings:

Jacob Hester, FB, LSU 5'11", 226
Justin McKinney, CB, Kansas State, 5-9, 188
Sam Kellar, QB, Nebraska, 6-3, 241
Josh Coffman, OT, East Carolina, 6-6, 300
Calvin Dawson, RB, Louisana-Monroe, 5-8, 200
Paul Hubbard, WR, Wisconsin, 6-2, 221

Since we took Jake Long instead of Chris Long, I addressed the WR position earlier and then loaded up on defensive players.

Wow I think you are stretching a bit with Sweed, Flowers in the 3rd, and Cottam in the 6th. I think all three get taken earlier than you have them.

I'd do a back flip though, here's hoping!

I think Sweed will still be there at #32, and Cottam could be there, on most board I have seen he is the 8th rated TE, so thats a definite possibility. With the questions about his pass catching abilities and lack of physicality despite his huge size, he would be a project anyhow. The wildcard is Flowers at the start of the 3rd round. He is ranked as the 6th best corner. If a run starts on corners in the early 2nd, he could be gone. However, with the depth of OL and Rb's in this years draft as well as a lot of Wr's projected to go in the 2nd, he very well could be sitting there at the start of the 3rd round. To be honest, I actually don't feel comfortable drafting him, reminds me of T Buckley too much, but his potential is huge, and I am trying to project what I think will happen instead of what I want to happen.

That would be a great draft. The thing is I doubt any of the guys listed after Jake long will last to those picks. Also, I don't think theres anyway Paul Hubbard could go undrafted after his pro day.

Balmer at 57 . . . . seriously doubt that. Him being there at 32 would be suprising.

mocks are just fairy tales.

no they are just that, mock drafts. hence the name. every individual on this board probably has a different scenario in mind when it comes to the draft. doesn't make anyone right or wrong, these are OPINIONS.

kind of stretch with some of them. Balmer i could see lasting, but i have alot of issues with him. the guy was an underachiever until his senior year, instincts are questionable. same thing with his motor. flowers could drop there but the character concerns are a problem for me especially after seeing his facebook picture. wheeler is too good of a player to last till the fourth. cottam i highly doubt will be there in the sixth. Kiehl doesnt really fit this defense. He isnt the pass rusher they like on the outside and isnt a take on player on the inside. i think he could be a good player but more for someone that plays a more traditional 4-3. medder i dont know much about except speed rushers will absolutely give him fits so i see a move inside. terrell isnt a bad choice as i see him moving to FS because of stiff hips. if the first four picks went Long, Sweed, Godfrey, Wheeler I would be one happy camper.

wow your first 5 guys (excluding long) are ALL gonna be gone by the time miami picks. paul hubbard is a 4th rounder if not late 3rd. Very unrealistic.

i highly doubt hubbard goes before the sixth. to many questions about him being a track guy playing football.

That would be an absolutely amazing draft. It is just a little too unrealistic though. Some good players always fall, but not that many I'm afraid.

Smoke, I like your draft a lot though! Hope it's true!
