lions- matthew stafford
-big arm, perfect for scott linehan...

rams- jason smith
-everyone thinks ot...but this is spagnolo's team and spagnolo loves athletic linemen...spagnolo can get an inside linebacker to perform well without having to give up a number 2 pick...and since he has adam carriker and chris long from the last two drafts on the defensive line, the pick is for the offensive line...

chiefs- tyson jackson
-the chiefs love tyson jackson...is it too early??? not when you get the player you love...down goes curry...in a shocker...

seahawks- eugene monroe
-i really debated this one...i think jim mora would love aaron curry...and im a fool for putting monroe here...i think its just as likely that curry goes here, monroe goes to cincy and bj raji goes to the browns...but i think seattle knows that walter jones is the franchise and hes aging...left tackles are a premium in this league..so they take one...but im already questioning myself...

browns- aaron curry
-position or not the browns cannot turn down the best defensive player on their board...

bengals- bj raji
-serious d-line issues here...they wanted sedrick ellis last year...they got keith rivers...now they need a big body to keep guys off rivers...

raiders- michael crabtree
-need some umph at wide out...

jaguars- brandon pettigrew
-so i do this draft and im finished when the jacguars signed torry holt...i redo my draft...they go out and acquire pettigrew, much to the bills anger...the jags have 0 wide out help and thoughts of maclins assistance can help...but im gonna say they reach a bit for brandon pettigrew to give david gerrard some help...

packers- brian orakopo
-ted thompson is swearing up a storm...he needs players for his 3-4...jackson was his guy and hes gone...raji was plan b...hes gone...so unless he moves up, hes gonna have to get orakopo...aj hawk and him should scare a lot of teams...they address the d-line with pick 2...ugh...i hate mocks...

49ers- jeremy maclin
-the 49ers are lost...they think sanchez is perfect...they have shaun hill...and martz isnt jumping up and down about another rookie qb...so they wait...and take maclin, pass on sanchez, would should make at least half of the bay area freak...

bills- andre smith
-the bills hate head cases...but they are taking a media beating right now...and need the best player on the board at the position they covet the most...plenty of de's in round 2...pettigrew is gone...so andre smith is the pick...hey, they might as well take the headcase at less of a cap hit then having a head case and costing the team 11 million

broncos- mark sanchez
-i really believe the broncos will go defense here and take cushing...but i think they can get a player with their later first round pick...

redskins- everette brown
-andre carter...enough said...thats their pass rush....andre carter...brown duplicates his skill a lot...and phillip daniels is back...but brown should assist in getting a rush...but you never know daniel snyder...dont think for a moment that he wouldnt love snapping up mark sanchez...

saints- brian cushing
-the saints are rebuilding their defense...they keep checking out usc guys...and they wanted cushing and get him...the broncos eagerness to get sanchez cost them cushing...

texans- malcom jenkins
-big corner...

chargers- rey mualuga
-reminds the chargers of junior seau...

jets- josh freeman
-rex ryan saw what joe flacco did for the ravens last year...and loves freemans big arm...

broncos- clay matthews
-how much do the broncos want to establish the 3-4??? so much that they nearly waited on sanchez until this pick...but i think they feel that one of cushing, matthews or mualuga will be available here...and they are right...

bucs- peria jerry
-absolutely nobody scarry on their defensive line...jerry gives them youth and size...

lions- michael oher
-they get stafford...then they get their LT for him...and sweat all 19 picks down, hoping he lasts...

eagles- knoshown moreno
-brian westbrook v. 2.0

vikings- eben britton
-right tackle need trumps all else...

patriots- jaron gilbert
-patriots have serious holes on the defensive line...richard seymour is a year away from f/a...albert haynesworth signed for so much, its changing the teams long term plans of wilfork...they take gilbert, who will be their next big defensive end...they look at hood but think they can get moala in round 2...

falcons- robert ayers...
-pettigrew is gone...need defensive strength...

dolphins-guys available...aaron maybin, vontae davis, derius butler, hakeem nicks...my view? i see trade down...but im gonna say hakeem nicks...they can grab alponso smith, derius butler or vontae davis in round 2 OR they can get larry english, connor baldwin or clint sintim in round 2...they like robiskie, britt, and nicks...they think all three will be gone by the time they pick again...so they take the guy they feel is most ready, and fits in best with ginn, cam, and bess...having run every route at unc he should contribute right away...

ravens- heywood-bey
-flacco gets a guy to stretch the field...

colts- evander hood
-they absolutely luck out...i have 5 teams capable of picking hood...and i seriously think the patsies will contemplate it...

bills- aaron maybin
-god is smiling on the bills in my mock...they get the best ot perhaps in the draft and slide down and take a defensive pass rush specialist that they may have taken at 11...and at 20 years old, they see nothing but a great future for maybin...wow...if this happens to the bills they will jump for joy...

giants- kenny britt
-they cant contain their joy...britt and sinorice moss, along with toomer and hixson should help them forget about that club-going wide out from last year...

titans- alphonso smith
-would like a defensive tackle here but none jump out...

cardinals- chris wells
-big, inside runner with speed...

pittsburgh-alex mack
-the tradition of drafting on the line continues...

bears- percy harvin
-the bears luck out and get cutler a weapon...

cowboys- max unger
-o-line help for the softening cowboys...

2a) clint sintim
2b) derius butler

jets- josh freeman
-mark sanchez or freeman....hmmm the pick is freeman...shocks the draft and shocks me...but rex ryan saw what joe flacco did for the ravens last year...and loves freemans big arm...

you said this after sanchez was gone - so the option was really just freeman.

No way on earth Darius Butler lasts until #56.

I used Ross Tucker and Pat Kirwans back and forth, mock draft from Friday, in my second round...the first round is what I was putting together...

I doubt Butler makes it out of round 1.....if he's still there at 25 we might take him there but he won't be there at 44 and let alone at 56.

Ozzy rules!!

i only see derius butler as a first rounder, in finheaven mocks...that said, i only put him as our 2b because that is what pat kirwan has him at...i only constructed a mock for the first round...

I give you credit for being different and forming your own opinion.

The Tyson Jackson pick could be interesting because he's an elite talent and a perfect 3-4 DE, and Scott Pioli built the New England defense around a similar player in Richard Seymour.

Don't agree with Pettigrew to the Jags. Great player that will probably go a lot lower than he should, but the Jags need somebody who can stretch the field.

Agree with Moreno to the Phils, but he's really not Westbrook 2.0. He could be better than Westbrook in the long run because he's a more complete runner coming out of college than Westbrook was (Westbrook really wasn't a big running threat until 2 years ago)

so you actually do have a realistic first round draft. Though Nicks could drop into the middle of round 2 easily as well.

As for your 2nd round picks. Butler has gotten first round mentions, as has Sintim, so they could sneak into the first, but I doubt we could sneak out of a draft with both Sintim and Butler in round 2 I think you'll have to chose one or the other. If that was the case, I'd take Butler since I believe CB is a bigger area of concern than LB is (plus, this is a fairly deep LB draft IMO)

much appreciated...the jags pick is what is really throwing a lot of people...i had them selecting maclin, then i finished the mock draft and i tune into sirius radio, to hear that they signed holt...so im stuck...i think they could still take maclin...i think pettigrew would really help them out...but i dont know if the jags are even looking at him...

true on the moreno-westbrook comparisons...i think moreno is a more aggressive rusher...

i think the dolphins pick is one of a handful in the first round that has everyone guessing...i picked nicks for the reasons mentioned above...

the second round, was merely a reference to pat kirwan...

I think if Maclin is available, the Jags should still take him becuase A)Torry Holt's body is really starting to break down and B)They have nobody else. Dennis Northcutt is ok as a number 3, but he's never been a good starter. In my opinion, the Jags want BJ Raji so they can recreate Stroud-Henderson. Otherwise, IMO they'll trade down... maybe look at Andre Smith or Michael Oher for the OL.

wise you are...the jags ranked last in the nfl in plays of 30 yards or more from scrimmage...they definetly need to open the field up...but i also agree the thing that made the jags very difficult to play against was the line play...first during the boselli years...then the stroud/henderson years...i definetly think they need to add some more bodies to the line...
