My Dad and I drove down Saturday from south of Tampa. Drive was easy, 3 hours to our hotel. Got in, watched a little CFB and walked to the stadium to meet some friends for the FSU UM tailgate. We arrived at HR stadium about 4:00 PM SAT and the atmosphere was electric. Lot of TDD, Ross, and even some country blaring. The people were friendly, the scenery was INCREDILE, short white shorts appear to be in, everything was great. Once the game started we walked about a mile and a half back and watched the game on TV and got some food.

Sunday- We got to the yellow lot on the West side of stadium and parked at 10 am. It was easy to get in and park. Met some fellow Fins and played some flip cup with them. I found myself defending Tannehill in conversation with them a lot. The atmosphere was more of a Sunday afternoon day drinking picnic, lots of jokes about how bad the Fins are, and how we may actually lose the game.

We entered the stadium and grabbed a couple 24o beers, I think it was 24 bucks for the two. Got to our seats in section 105 row 11 as the Fins were coming out of the tunnel. The fans loooooove Juice Landry.
The stadium was rather empty. We were in the sun until almost the half, then the shade set in from the canopy.

The guys in front of me were getting on other fans for not standing and getting loud when the defense was on the field. I stood with them and yelled on every passing down. The Titans easy drive and score before half ended it for me. Many people left after they scored to go up 14. We waited until the ensuing sack and I told my Dad, "I cant take it anymore lets go" Looks like everyone had the same idea.

The stadium got loud on the Grant TD and the"We wan Moore chants" It seemed like they played a lot of Patriotic type music immediately after the players took a knee during the anthem. Likely wanted to counteract the protest.

The apathy had set in post game. I know the feeling, I had a weird feeling sitting in the parking lot for an hour in traffic. I didn't even care anymore. I didn't care to discuss what we just watched, I am over it. Over the Fins over the season.

Well it was a fun weekend for sure. I wont drop 300 on flights, 120 for hotel and tickets again for this franchise....I will Definitely go back for another U Miami tailgate, believe me.

Good stuff. Sounds like aside from the actual product on the field it was mostly positive.

The stadium is money. The team stinks. It'll change eventually. 20 years maybe. Glad you had a good experience at least aside from the game.

Thanks for posting brother slk but you should be ashamed to visit Miami without your golf clubs or fishing poles ;)

Glad you had fun Sat. I'm going to try and get down for a Canes game / golf weekend later on.

And you by-passed our tailgate. :ponder:

Thanks for sharing. Were the seats comfortable? How about those big screens? I know you were in the lower bowl at the endzone, but would they help you see the action better if someone was sitting in the nose bleeds?

We don't have nose bleeds. Seating is good everywhere. It is a rather smallish and tight stadium.

Lower bowl yes. Screens helped when they action was at the other end.

I don't think so. We were in West lot and entered stadium Northwest entrance...Saturday for the Miami game we were at east 15

By by-passing I mean "show up". Shame.
