My first mock draft ever....

Okay guys don't criticize to much just say I don't like the pick tell me why so i can understand and who would you take in that spot. just 5 rounds, even though i dont think we have a 5th pick.

1st Terence Cody-Alabama NT

2nd Eric Decker-Minnesota WR

3rd Daryl Washington- TCU ILB

4th Kam Chancellor- VT FS

5th Collin Peek- Alabama TE
 
I'm gonna boo the hell out of that Kam Chancellor pick. That dude finds himself out of position more often than Taylor Mays does. I'm dead set on using the 4th round pick on Jimmy Graham. That's a value pick if I ever seen one.
 
I love Cody, but not with a first rounder.

Taking Selvie in the second is way too high. I would rather take Sergio Kindle in the second. Selvie is a more of fourth rounder right now.
 
You guys really think that Cody is going to fall to the first round, I really doubt it and we really need a big NT with versatility and Cody is the only big and agile NT that i can see in the draft.
 
Cody isnt the most agile NT that kid from Tenn Williams is he is a freak and has great burst off the ball. I see it like this

1st round- Hughes, McClain, Bryant NO SPIKES he is Channing 2.0 McClain is in a ray Lewis mold and Hughes could be a D Ware in 2 years imagine Wake and Hughes together DAAAAAAAAAAMN. and Bryant would be a dream put him out there and let Henne throw to him all day

2nd- Kindle, Tate, Williams- Kindle if we get McClain, Williams if we get Hughes and Tate if neither is there

3rd- Lang, Dixon- Lang gives us another elite pass rusher a bit of a project but can be very good and Dixon is a beast running back to spend a year at #3 and then move up to #2 as either ricky or ronnie might be out the door in a year or two

now i know we neeeed a WR but people like Malcolm Floyd out of SD will be available and he is a guy who just needs to be given a chance at #1 or Austin or many other that we could trade for to get rid of some of this old money (porter, channing and others)
 
the cody pick isn't bad. his knock is his 'conditioning' - but he'll be rotated in and out so much it won't make a difference. and i'm sure the potential millions of dollars will help him dedicate himself to not eating himself out of the league.

i don't like any of the other picks though. decker won't ever be a #1 receiver - which is what we need. washington has 4-3 LB written all over him - so that doesn't help. chancellor has horrible coverage tendencies - and we've already got enough of that going on. and peek - i could go either way on that one.
 
Eric Decker is a tough SOB but his injury history makes him a 4-5th rounder. Kam Chancellor is slower than Andy Reid chasing a carrott. No way we take a flyer on this guy
 
decker doesn't show the ability to separate even at the college level...pass

cody starts on fire and then tires and by the 4th quarter is a shell of himself as an impact player...i wouldn't touch him before the 3rd round but that's just me

if we're gonna take a nose high the only one i want is dan williams...BEAST

kam chancellor can't cover a lick
