Round 1 - Taylor Mays, I think we pick around 16 to 20 and I think Taylor Mays will be there for us. Everyone thought Maualuga would go real high and he went in round 2 so...Mays gives us the dynamic free safety we dont have right now and i really think he could be the next ed reed or palamalu, probally more like sean taylor. I think its more important and needed position than LB or NT and parcells doesnt usually take recievers in round 1, which brings me to round 2.

Round 2 - Mardy Gilyard WR Cincinnati - Gilyard is a dynamic playmaker with good size and speed. I think he would immediatly step in and help at WR and would rather have him than an unreliable Antonio Bryant.

Round 3 - Evan Royster RB Penn State - Unless there is no CBA, I dont see Ronnie Brown coming back. I dont think Parcells will give a big contract to a guy that is turning 28. Royster has really impressed me, and I think his draft stock has dropped a little, but if you look at his sophmore year, he was very impressive.

Round 4 - Anthony Mccoy - TE USC - I think we need a better pass catching TE than Anthony Fasano and Mccoy is an all around good TE. He doesnt have the size, but he is a fairly good blocker.

I think Parcells will take a NT in round 6 or so as it is his MO to take NT late and develop them. Paul Soliai has been playing great and we may go after a FA like Vince Wilfork or Casey Hampton. This is my first mock so let me know what you think of it, i like the feedback and it may very well change, expecially after the combine.

Not a big fan of Taylor Mays. I think he's overrated. I also think Marty Gilyard is not the type of receiver Parcells and Co. are looking for. I think we go WR in round one (Golden Tate, Dez Bryant or Brandon Lafell) and then adress other needs later. Good ideas though.

I used to be down on Tate but I love him now. He is tough and just makes plays in a variety of ways and not mention they are big plays that our WR need. He definitely fits the mold of "playmaker" if thats the type of WR we are looking for (like Dan Marino says we should).

Taylor Mays would be interesting and he definitely could be available in the range Miami picks. He definitely seems like a fit as an enforcer in the secondary. Mardy Gilyard is very good. I like his run after the catch ability combined with the fact that he's a really good kick returner. You know the front office would like to cut ties (trade) Ted Ginn so a quality kick returner will be looked for IMO. I do think the Dolphins need to find a middle linebacker and pass rusher early, though.

Mays would have been a top five pick last year, but he had a pretty average senior season so he may drop to the middle or late first round. I think he would be an upgrade over Gerbil Wilson.

I'd seriously probably hang myself with that draft mostly because Taylor Mays BLOWS. He isn't a FS, isn't a dynamic playmaker, and isn't even remotely close to an Ed Reed or Polamalu. It would be hard not to slit my wrists if we chose Mays over Earl Thomas or Morgan Burnett, or any player for that matter. Mays cant cover, has bad tackling technique. We already have 2 linebackers who cant cover at safety, no need whatsoever for another. Gilyard? Meh, other players I'd rather target in the 2nd. Same can be said for the 3rd. McCoy is the 2nd or 3rd best TE in the draft, he won't be falling to the 4th round, that's for sure. Jimmy Graham or Dennis Pitta is more like it.

I do not think what so ever that our first pick will be anything but a Linebacker. If you look through the past drafts the FO has used a pattern, 08 draft was mostly Lineman, 09 mostly WR and Secondary, this draft I have a feeling we will see mostly Linebackers and a few "Luxury" picks made. But there is not doubt in my mind that the FO use's their first round pick on a Linebacker.

mays isn't too bad. he gots a lot of flack around here though. this is another guy who i think will be a SS. lots of holes in his coverage game as well. not for us.

Aweful doesnt fill any holes that we really need filled. We need lbs more than anything and people complain about wilson's coverage but mays would be worse
