As we all know the legendary Dan Marino is going into the Hall of Fame. This moment is very special to me like it is to all Phin fans. Like many of us, I can’t even begin to describe how proud I am of the man who has brought more joy into my life then any other man. (Besides my father) It is impossible to count how many times I have been sitting at home pumping my arm in celebration because the biggest Fish of the them all has once again lead the Dolphins to a Touchdown drive. Numerous high fives have been slapped because the walking legend had completed a key first down even though the guy watching his first football game knew Miami was going to throw the pigskin. No defense, no run game, no problem. Just having number 13 on your roster meant double digit wins. How many QBs have won a Superbowl? .… the answer is many …. How many QBs hold almost ever major passing record in the book …. One …. There is only one Dan Marino.

Not only has Dan Marino been a model of success on a football field, he is also a model of success off the grid iron. You never read that news article about Mr. Aqua and Orange getting a DUI. You never read any news article about Dan the man unless it is a positive one. In today’s age of journalism, that in its self is an accomplishment worthy of the record books.

I thank Dan Marino for a lifetime of memories that can never be taken away from us.
To honour Dan Marino in my household forever I have named my first-born son after the sports entertainment icon. I want my son to grow up knowing how truly precious Dan Marino was, and is, to all of our hearts.

On August 2, at 7:34am …. Dolphin Nation welcomed into the world …. Marino Liu Xi’er Uliski.

nice post Bobby.

Thats bleepin awesome! Love the dedication and congrats!

Marino made it threw his first game well. Beside 2 cry breaks, 1 feeding break, and a dirty bum, I think Marino enjoyed the game. He must have been upset about the score though, he never talked about the game at all after it was over.
