Pretty good mock, though I do not see Rice there at 40

or Shaw in the 6th with teams needing LBs

I think Thomas will be gone before the 7th as well

Love Joe Staley...I think we could get him if we traded down...Lets hope Adrian Peterson is available and we can trade down to number 16 with the Packers...Get some extra picks...and draft Joe Staley

why staley over brown. staley is undersized and has no leverage and brown is much better

Like it or not, I'm convinced that if Quinn is there at #6, we're trading with Washington to get him. I don't know whether that's a good thing or a bad thing... I can't quite decide.

Staley has shown the ability to gain wt and to retain his overall footwork and movement. Brown is a little more stiff IMO and while he has played against better competition he does not have the upside of JS. Staley is so athletic he could lose some mobility with additional wt and STILL be the most athletic OT in this draft. Despite being somewhat underweight (not significantly by the way) JS has better punch and handwork right now than Brown. He also has better feet and his balance/recovery is great (see the SR. Bowl clip lead in on ESPN as an example). He recovers quickly and the only area I personally see Brown as significantly better in is in his ability to anchor on the bull rush (which some additional strength (legs) on JS he may improve greatly in). I guess it depends on if you view the ability to anchor or the ability to handle speed/move rushers. Staley gets good movement and is very bright in OL schemes where I see Brown as more of a Whisenhunt mauler type RT that may...may be able to play RT....just my 2 cents though....

Maybe. I did not account for potential trades...such as Denver to #2 possibly, if Peterson last to #9 GBay would have to be interested, Tampa and Detroit flip flop if CJ is available at #2, and Miami may be interested in Quinn at 6. But from the vibes I get reading public sources (Posturing???) I really get the feeling that a WR or LT at 9 and Kolb or Beck targeted at 40 (a bit high IMHO but it is what we may need to do to get him). which a Staley/Kolb quinela I like a lot better than Staley/Beck. I know Boomer and some others like Beck but while I like his arm I do not like his pocket awarness and general field awarness. Kolb has enough/good arm and played in a scrambled eggs offense. He is also a great student, audibled alot, works hard and fits with what Cam has said he likes in a QB. A "system" can cover a lot of problems like arm strength and give you inflated numbers but Kolb is bright, competitive, is mobile, has pocket awarness, and has the arm to transition to an NFL offense...so personally no offense to Boomer, CK and the guys .... I like Kolb much more than Beck.....

Good mock draft!
I dont see Podlesh lasting until the 7th, but otherwises...not bad at all!
(although me personally, I would have liked Sam Satele with our 3rd)

If Landry is there at #7, he will be a Minnesota Viking.
