Ok i have been coming here for at least 8 years and i mainly come here to read up on things or basically just to see what people have to say about whats going on and some of you might know me from chat on gamedays because i come here for that as well....rarely do i post but sometimes i feel the need to put my OPINION out there so here is how i am feeling about our beloved Dolphins.....

For starters i was born and have lived my whole life in Louisana off I10 right next to the texas boarder and well as you can imagine being born in 1981 the Saints never did anything "great" when i was young on this side of lousiana there were alot more Cowboys fans and/or oiler fans now texans...and i remember one monday nite watching TV and seeing Marino pick apart some team and ever since then followed and became more and more intrigued until i was bleeding orange and aqua :) now that being said i have loved the dolphins for the past 20 years and have been through everything inbetween...

sooo i will start with QB.....the position that made me become a "fan"atic of the dolphins has been well...everyone already knows what it has been...but we are talking about the present...of course 80% of you seem to have been upset over no QB change and that is somewhat understandable however i feel that by the end of the year at least half of you will be happy with Henne and the rest will keep their same views...with the new lineup and experience and coordinator...i honestly feel that Henne will be ranked the 5th best QB in the AFC 9th overall in the NFL...is that the best..no...is that in the top 1/3 yes...this year he will post higher TD than INT, he will have something to prove especially after you wonderfull fans boo him in traning...and i really feel he will post DECENT numbers not outstanding but he will give you more excitment than you would expect this year...and not in the negative way haha...

RB - this i am a little worried about...i have never seen thomas play so i cant really say that much about him and be truthfull, however thi highlight real wasnt that eventfull so i really wasn't wowwed by him and you would think on a video to promote someone with their best material you would be highly extatic about them but i am just basically ho-hom about this and i really feel he will never be anything better than mediocre which i am kind of dissapointed in but it is what it is and i will support him as long as he is a dolphin....now with Bush...sure some might say he is brittle but he will be limited yet get his touches and he will have some of you jumping off your chairs/couches in excitment this year with some amazing plays you better believe this...i have seen plently of NO games living here to know what he can bring and he will be amazing and will end up helping henne alot while on the field.....and polite...gotta love him on third and short because he is as automatic as it gets....and the whole ricky thing i really just wish they would let him back finish his career here and retire but there is no telling on that...tiki/LJ we dont need any of that we need someone young and fresh for a 3rd if sheets/grigsby dont work out for some reason....

WR - I think we will only keep 5 if Bush is going to be part of the special teams plans this year and i dont see why he wouldn't be but you never know...Marshall will be back to his numbers after being more settled in now and bess will do his thing and be sure handed....i really feel as though hartline will impress this year and give about 800yds 7TD's you will see.....and Gates i am optimistic about..the 5th i cant say until that is won

TE - I was with alot of you on this....I was looking forward to seeing a change here and if not a significant one at least one that we would have a 2 TE set..wether the new OC uses it or not...and rumors say that he will use more 4WR sets than 2 TE sets so we will see....but i dont have much else to say

OL - alot of you complained about both sides and always picking up people but this is going to be a great line and i really feel that even Carey is going to do great at Guard you will really be impressed!!! and he will make a couple of mistakes but his positives will far outweigh any negatives....i really am excited about pouncey...first round on a center..ehhhhh...but i am very excited none the less! maybe this will help thomas number's his first year but you know how i feel about that....and i feel Henne will be well protected

Def - Overall there is nothing i can really say about the Defense in a negative aspect except i was kind of hoping for a Safety signing but it didn't happen but i am not going to sit there and berate my team just because they didn't go get someone or a position that i felt was a need...instead i am going to support my team and the players that are on my team!!! I can honestly say that i think we will league the lead in sacks this year...number 1...we will be having QB's shaking and it is going to be exciting!!! This is also going to give us great field position i just hope it doesnt turn into us having a Pro Bowl Kicker because we cannot do anything with the great field position....but the defense will keep us alive in every game all year long...i really just hope our offense doesnt frustrate them towards the end of the season...

I am sure there is more i wanted to say and alot of left out but this is my basic outlook for the Dolphins at this time...and i am really happy with my team and always will be...i will never change teams i will always support and be proud to be a dolphins fan...even when they were 1-15 i proudly would wear my gear and that should never change if you are a true fan always support your team through and through!

I am excited about this upcoming year and i hope there are no big injuries and i hope you all have a great time rooting on our beloved team....and even if you get frustrated never turn your back on your team!

and thank any of you that actually read through this whole thing haha

First of all, I was going to say keep on posting. And I will still say that. Post more often bro. Youre a hardcore fan, you should post.

I really liked your first couple paragraphs and its awesome you took the time to make a long detailed post. Thats the ****.

However, after reading your QB thing, I of course skipped down to the end.

Just, right off the bat, how do you come up with 5th in the AFC and 9th overall in the NFL? I mean have you pinpointed which QBs will rate better or are you just guessing? Secondly, did you even stop to think about the QBs he will have to beat in order to do that? Really?

Lets look..........

To finish 5th in the AFC, that means Henne will have to beat out 11 other guys. And right off the bat, you do realize there are 4 men who play QB in the AFC named Manning, Brady, Rivers, and Roethlisberger. Those guys are HOFers. Are you willing to just say those 4 guys will have better seasons. If so we can move along with this. If not, please tell me which one Henne is beating.

Now, if you simply admit he isnt beating any of those 4, that means in order to finish 5th, he MUST beat out EVERYONE ELSE in the AFC. That includes guys like Schaub, Flacco, Orton, and Cassel. Now you can make that case if you want to, but thats no easy task. You could argue Cassel will struggle with a new OC. You could argue Orton blows. Fine. But, you understand the accomplishment it would be to finish 5th in the AFC in passer rating dont you?

Now you say 9th overall. So to finish 9th overall and 5th in the AFC, youre suggesting exactly 4 QBs in the NFC and only 4, will have a better rating than Henne. And again, right off the bat, you do realize there are 4 guys in the NFC playing QB named Rodgers, Ryan, Vick, and Brees. Are you saying Henne will beat out EVERYONE ELSE in the NFC or do you think he will beat one of those guys or even 2 or 3 of them and a couple of the others will make up the 4? Because there are other QBs very capable over there with names like Romo, Manning, Freeman, and Bradford.

You honestly believe Henne is finishing behind exactly 4 guys in the AFC and 4 guys from the NFC? GET REAL.

yeah i meant 9th in the NFL....of course this would be hard to believe because of where he has finished in the past and yes i know what QB's he would have to be ahead of in order to accomplish this...but this is honestly how i feel about it and at the end of the season i will lose any credibility and stop trying to say what people will put up statistically or i will be dead on and continue to project what i feel they will be. :) but thank you for reading and responding, much appreciated.

Please tell me which 4 you think are going to be ahead of him from each conference and obviously the ones you believe he will beat can be deduced. And you cant not say Brady, Manning or Rivers from the AFC, and Brees and Rodgers from the NFC. Those 5 arent even arguable. There is simply no way Henne is going to have better numbers than those guys this season.

Im only giving you Ryan because so many people are clueless about how good he is. His numbers last season were great and now they added Julio Jones. I dont see how they arent just as good. Nevertheless if you want to suggest he beats Ryan, Roethlisberger, or Vick be my guest. But, dont even try it with those other 5. Thats insanity.

Honestly, I think its insane to suggest several others but, Id like to see which ones you honestly believe Henne will top this year. I mean, those 8 I listed might be the ones you pick, but just look at the names that leaves off. Either way I want to know how you are going to argue this.

QB -It depends on the category, I believe the poster was saying 9th in yards which isn't a stretch considering Henne was only 400 yards out of the 9th spot. Now if the notion of finishing in the top 9 in QB rating is the underlying sentiment I am doubtful. Even if Henne has a career year and reduced his INT's by half (8), throws 5 more TD's (20) and hits the yard mark of 3700 with the same completion percentage, he still only finishes 11th in rating last season and this would be a monumental improvement and more then likely get Miami into the playoffs.

So it is all in the context of which category you are saying "9th". He might end up 9th in yards and/or completion percentage but more then likely not in TD"s or Int's or Rating.

RB - Miami will be fine if the line play returns to the level of 09 and 10. Long being on the PUP list isn't encouraging but hopefully this line will gel and produce like they did in 09.

WR - Miami has a good group of receivers.

TE- Don't give up on Fasano he is good solid TE and don't forget about Cray, if he can be turned into a Dallas Clark type hybrid-TE it will open up this offense immensely and create mismatch. Of course there is a lot that has to happen in order for this to transpire and Miller would have been a great proven addition without all the question marks around a rookie.

OL- Miami lives and dies with this unit this season. If it gels and becomes as solid as 09 then Miami has a shot. If it doesn't all the pundits crying for Andrew Luck might get there wish along with Sparano, and Irelands departure. Be careful what you ask for, not all that changes is good and the past decade proves that.

Def - Is in great shape, I was also hoping for safety help for two reasons, Bell is aging but solid but mostly because FS is wide open. Someone on the roster will need to step up this season to improve this area. Releasing Crowder and signing Burnett should help all around in the run and middle passing game.

I agree with WV - post more, don't be afraid to go against the grain you are a good poster. I agree with you on almost all your points.

Bold predictions are bold for a reason, anyone can say I will finish the race, it takes confidence to say you will win the race.

Nice post. I think as far as the big picture goes, we are a better team defensively this year. Our d-backs, especially Vontae and Smith should be much improved. Our linebacking corps should also be good....I am looking forward to what Misi can do, and hopefully Edds will get over his injury and be the player he was at Iowa. The defensive line should also be better. On offense, I am still concerned about Henne, and the offense's inability to put points on the board. I am going to lose it if I see Sparano giving the old fist pump after a Carpenter FG. It's 3 points Tony.....and you may be excited by it, but most of us fans see it as a missed opportunity to score 7.

I hate to see Ronnie go, but deep down I think it is his time and hope he does great for the Iggs. This should give Bush, Thomas and the rest of our RB's more touches. We have lots of depth at WR....I really am looking forward to seeing Clyde Gates and that speed of his. I think realistically we win between 7 and 9 games. Hopefully it will be more than this, but I don't want to be too much of a homer.
