My Ideas for the Photoshop Competion and the "challenges"

ok so I was talking with Jt today and thought of this:

what if we took the "challenges" and the PSC and merged them? how so you ask? well this is what i was thinking..

we move the photoshop comp to be every other month instead of every month. and then we sort the challengers into divisions. we have about 14 or so active people in here who do challenges, maybe if we could get ilphinfan88 or Skape or UnifeidTheory in here we could even have more.

anyways we would have a commishiner who would be responsible for updating the standings, and making scheduals and sorting the divisions. then for 1 month we would have schedualed challenges where the Home Team sets the specs we would make the judging universal, maybe a panel of judges so we dont have someone get there friend in here voting for them.

anyways after the month is over your record would determin your ranking in the Photoshop Competion. so you dont get a MillerTime vs DOlphin2k5 or a Buddwalk vs Jt0323 in a first round random sorting.

what the schedual would be like for the month of ranking I dunoo maybe 2 challenges a week per person? I dunno just thinking here. I also think by having a commishoner here update everything it will help keep things a little more orginzied and you dont have one person challenging everyone or picking out the waeker then them. It makes it fair across the board.

btw. if we went this route we would all start at 0-0 I know this is not a popular choice but its the only FAIR way to do it.

NExt month being 2 days from nowe or september? and depends if people like this idea or not.. im just pitching it here. I want to keep it fun.

My thought would be we would take august off. no challenges just the PSC, and then start the league in September. that gives who ever the commishoner is to create schedules and divisions. The Commish can still particpate in the league, they will just be responsible for the logistics part of it.


p.s. I would like to be the commish.
 
I like the idea a lot. Sounds fun and it makes the challenges funner and puts more weight on them. Nice idea MW.
 
yeah I was thinking that... maybe not cancel the challenges just because of the ps comp but run a league maybe thoughout/following the NFL season (run once a year, week by week for 17 weeks with byes followed by the playoffs)? With a max amount of teams/users. But keep random challenges and the ps comp running also to add variety.

I say also the league should only be open to pros people can earn their way up to pro by competing in the random challenges and the ps comp. :yes:

:hmmm: that's crazy enough to work. but what about the playoff system?
