Nice work Pain!

How about in a classic 3-4
OLB Spragan ILB Crowder ILB Thomas OLB Seau

Just think it would be awesome to see all 4 of those guys on the field at the same time.Maybe not likely though.

According to your depth chart. If roth is going to play behind taylor

Why dont we just put him at LB?

Thanks man! Yeah, I'm thinking that is definitely one scenario when we're playing 3-4. Another scenario I'm thinking could possibly be:

RE: Vonnie Holliday
NT: Keith Traylor
LE: Kevin Carter

OLB: Junior Seau/Donnie Spragan
ILB: Channing Crowder
ILB: Zach Thomas
OLB: Jason Taylor

For the most part though we'll probably be playing 4-3 with Crowder probably rotating in at MLB and OLB and possibly win the starting job for OLB over Spragan sometime throughout the season, I wouldn't mind that one bit. As for 3-4, Jason Taylor wouldn't fit too well at all in the 3-4 defense scheme at DE and he would have to be switched to OLB, and I personally don't feel that would be a good move. And there's always the talks that Zach will not excell in the 3-4 because he's too undersized for a LB in the 3-4... I hope we don't use much of the 3-4 this year because I don't want to say we don't have the personnel to play, but we just aren't best suited for it. But I agree it would be awesome to see Seau, Crowder, Thomas, and Spragan all on the field at the same time. Hopefully when we do use the 3-4, it'll be successful.

The thing about Matt Roth is, I feel he is going to eventually be starter of this team but not right away. He's definitely going to be a future DE of this team, and may very well end up taking over the starting job during midseason perhaps. Just because he's listed at RE doesn't mean he can't play LE. Also there's a possiblity that David Bowens could still get cut. If that's the case, I would move Matt Roth to backup LE. And by midseason with a release of David Bowens and Matt Roth outplaying Vonnie Holliday, our starting defensive line could very well look like:

RE: Jason Taylor
LDT:Kevin Carter
RDT:Keith Traylor
LE: Matt Roth

I wouldn't say that is out of the question, it could happen... I just don't think it is the most likely as of right now. And as for moving Matt Roth to OLB... I feel the same way about moving Jason Taylor OLB, I have a bad feeling about it and don't think it would be the best idea, but I wouldn't totally be against it.

Nice work, cant imagine how long that took you lol
Thanks. And yeah man, it always takes quite awhile when I work on Depth Charts, but I have information gathered up from week after week where I make modifications and changes. I also check out every site's depth chart on us, analyze each one, and than made my personal changes and what I feel is the most likely or the best possible option. So it's kind of like taking the best out of each one and me organizing it all together. But yeah, definitely takes up a lot of time. :D

How can you see Hadnot at Center, and he hasn't played any center here yet ? I realize he can play the position, and he is probably a better option than SM, but it's a little far fetched to put him in the lineup or even imagine him in at center when he's never played the position in the pros ??

But most of the rest is pretty imaginable...It'll be a fun SC for fans at any rate...

I hope thats what comes out of camp ^^^^ Wade Smith might win that job..

Good post

I agree with you that Rex Hadnot not should be listed as Center until it's been proven for us to believe that it will become a realistic possiblity. I've been doing my best to hold him off to be Center (let alone starting Center, but the other day at the 2005 KICKOFF BANQUET, they had made the announcement that Rex Hadnot had been moved to Center!

The just announced Hadnot as a Center!

http://www.finheaven.com/boardvb2/showthread.php?t=81903&highlight=banquet post #40 by Nublar and if it's Nublar ya know it's legit plus I heard it myself later on.

So after this announcement, it definitely goes to show that the coaching staff (especially Hudson Houck) have definitely been looking at Rex Hadnot at being Center and now have made it official that he has been moved to Center. They didn't say that he was the starter which is a good thing because it's WAY TOO EARLY to be naming starters for any position but I think this proves likely that he is definitely a STRONG candidate for be our starting Center and right now the top two leading candidates are him and Seth McKinney. Also there was the report a few weeks ago of how Hadnot has been impressing the coaching staff so that just bolds well for him even more. So that my reasoning of why I gave them each a scenario of being our starting Center. Hope that clears things up. :D

Was the Rick Spielman thing a joke -- or is he really going to be scouting for us?

You gotta put Sammy Morris ahead of Minor to.

Good point, I agree. I'll change that right now. Only reason I had Sammy Morris last though is because I'm expecting him to be playing more at FB and I had him last after all the RB's because I had him rotating. But :::WHOOOSH::: just like magic, I just changed it!
