Here's a quick look at free agency:

sign: Crabtree WR, Franklin OG, Dan William DT
re-sign: Delmas, Odrick
release: Hartline, Gibson, Wallace, Ellerbe, Wheeler

1. Maxx Williams TE Minnesota- My gut feeling is that Maxx Williams will be one of the biggest risers during the draft process with a possible top 20 spot before all is said and done. I think he'd be an absolutely perfect fit for Miami as someone who could take the passing game to the next level. This guy has so much upside and with the top three receivers looking to go very early would be a nice get for Miami. In my first mock, I had the Dolphins taking DaVante Parker, but I doubt he gets past Minnesota. I think Kevin White goes top 10 as well. I like Coates upside at wide receiver, but 14 is a little rich.

2. Ifu Ekpre-Olomu CB Oregon-- One of the best corners in the drafts slips to round two due to injury. I know with Philibin's and Hickey's jobs on the line, this may be a splurge but to get a corner of his value here is too hard to pass up. I originally had Quinten Rollins here, but he is now being mocked near the bottom of round 1.

3. Jamison Crowder WR Duke --- If Wallace is released, Crowder gives Miami a speed option who has great acceleration and sure hands. Looks like a nice fit for the Dolphins.

4. Taiwan Jones ILB Michigan State -- I realize this is a long time to wait on inside linebacker. I really like Jones who is getting some comparisons to Takeo Spikes. He fills the holes quickly in the running game, shoots the gaps nicely and has size at 6-3, 250. Probably won't see the field on passing downs.

5. Austin Hill WR Arizona -- Miami looks to revamp at wide receiver and Hill, at 6-3, offers a bigger target for Ryan Tannehill.

6. Cam Thomas S/CB Western Michigan --- This may be wishful thinking in R6, but Thomas could fall with the quality at the position. He offers size and versatility for Miami's secondary.

7. Michael Orakpo LB/DE Texas State --- Another guy coming off an injury who could pay dividends long-term.

I really do like the players in your mock. I just can't see the value at TE at 14. I really think we bring Clay back, and if so we are set at TE. If not, I would like the value better in the 2nd or 3rd or with a FA like Gresham.

I am really hoping Parker falls. Just don't see BPA @14 being a TE In this draft. I wouldn't hate it though.

I agree... we cant take a TE at 14 at all... but yes Maxx Williams is going to be a great TE in the NFL.

I'm also not a fan of Cam Thomas really... but Taiwan Jones I do like, but is round 4 to high for him???

I like Jamison Crowder a lot too... but would Tyler Lockett, Phillip Dorsett, Justin Hardy, be around there in round 3 too??? Tre McBride could be great late late rounds too

If I'm Miami I definitely consider Dorsett, Lockett and Crowder. I went with Crowder because he has better hands and that seems more like what Miami would do. That's sort of my theme in the passing game as well. Michael Crabtree has great hands and that looks like a strength for Maxx Williams and Austin Hill.

Not trying to beat your mock up, I honestly don't like any of these players.

To each his own though.

I don't see Dorsett lasting until the 3rd round after his strong Senior Bowl and then add the Combine which will only enhance his stock! I do not buy him being a late first but middle of second round seems legit to me. I do think that Tyler Lockett is more ready to play day 1 than Dorsett as he will need to be coached up, both would be great gets for Miami though.

I have to agree with the TE pick as well, it just seems too rich for the position as Clay is returning to health and still developing somewhat and the rise of the real Dion, although he must improve his consistency. I feel the big WR, big DT or a starting CB has to be the target for round 1 at 14, if not we should move down and get more picks.

I do like the quality you drafted though from rounds 2-7, although Orakpo will go much higher imo. Hill and Jones would be really good additions to this team, I like the idea of doubling on WR with different skill sets. I'd almost want to go White or DGB at #14 and Dorsett at #56 then look at defense afterwards throughout with a possible late look at RB and OL.

I like Williams... a lot, but don't see it happening unless we cant get clay back

Im not a big fan of releasing Wallace, Hartline, and Gibson and only replacing them with Crabtree and a 3rd down rookie. Crabtree is slow and just a name at this point.

As for the draft, I like Maxx but not at 14…but Im also a big proponent of brining Clay back so that could be why.

Love Ifo in the 2nd. People want impact now but you can at probably designate him him to return from IR and have him for the last half of the year…at minimum you are getting a top 15 talent for 2016. Thats a personal viewpoint though, but I don't see Philibin and co with their jobs on the line thinking forward like that.

Crowder I like but man he is just so small I don't think you can count on him to play on the outside. If we are letting Wallace and Hartline go I think they are basically forcing themselves to draft a WR in round 1 which means trading up for their guy or possibly reaching or trading down. I don't like that idea though…I want Wallace here I just don't think it will happen.

Don't like the 3rd and 4th round picks...crowders a solid prospect but at just over 5 ft 8 and projecting in the slot I got Jarvis Landry already

I don't see instincts with Taiwan jones worth investing in at mike

Best pick I see is olomu...

I also want Miami to keep Wallace, but I just don't see that happening. Losing all three of those guys wouldn't be ideal. I think Crabtree is a slight upgrade from Hartline and Gibson so that's why I like him in free agency. I also like Hakeem Nicks as someone to rebound. As far as Maxx Williams that would be a bold pick and un-Dolphin like. I just love the way New England used Gronk and Hernandez and Williams/Clay could be really nice.

Fair enough. I think Crowder is mostly a slot guy so can see your reasoning there. What are your thoughts on Austin Hill?

Austin Hill WR of Arizona... 6'3'' 210 with decent speed from what I saw (not sure on his time) he seems to have VERY nice hands and focus, probably needs work on route running and using his hands and frame better while running the routes... but he is an athlete that seems to be a work horse. An issue was I guess he came off missing his 2013 year with a bad ACL surgery.

Definitely sounds like someone to take a chance on. Miami loves wide receivers with good hands so those are the types I was targeting.

if maxx williams was 6 ft 6 i'd be more interested in it at 14...he's listed at like 6 ft 4 and 1/8...unless he comes in taller come the combine i'm not buying that player in the top 15...case in point gronk is 6 ft 6

i'm a stickler for measurables

Whatever you think Maxx Williams would bring to the receiving corp...Crabtree will take away from it. Huge downgrade from Hartline. Completely unreliable, adds nothing as far as big play ability, often injured (we had a season full of often injured players...why would you add another one), is another diva receiver without the talent to back it up.
