"My man Chad Henne was on fire"

I dont think hardly and dolphin fans are hoping henne doesn't succeed here..
But before we start screaming out to the world that henne is the real deal
can we wait till henne string a few good games together??

It is great he has been doing better in practice as well he should be..
Maybe those boos were the best thing to happen to henne..

Perhaps it was exactly what the doctor ordered. Some guys tend to play better when they have a "me against the world" mentality. Now, obviously we'll have too see how this translates to the preseason and regular season. If he stinks up the joint in games that matter then these good practices are all for naught.

I actually think Daboll has a chance to bring out the best in Henne. We are out of the stone age offense where we only line up 2 Wideouts and now are lining up 3 or 4 with Reggie Bush either one of them or in the backfield. I think WR is the strongest position we have on offense. The new offense plays to that advantage which is a great change from years past.

Also remember Henne's last college game they used a spread offense against Florida and he tore them apart. Maybe he feels more comfortable with more recievers running around instead of having to be locked into 1 or 2 options.

I really hope henne is progressing but I won't believe it till I see him on the playing field when it counts. His problem hasn't ever really been hitting receivers in 7-on-7 drillin camp or whatever, it's the way he totally spazzes out during games. The prime example is his pocket presence. Any pressure from the sides and he immediately gives up on passing that play and "scrambles" for a no gainer.

Also his reluctance to play in the shotgun. Seriously has anyone ever heard of this before Chad? It's pathetic and resulted in us using a lot of max protect schemes (2 TE, 2 RB) on 3rd and longs. Never heard before of a QB not feeling comfortable throwing out of the shotgun.

Thirdly, he always seems to sail balls way out of reach on passes toward the sideline. Marino used to place the ball where only the receiver could possibly catch it. Henne puts it where only the backup QB can catch it. On first glance I don't think it's as much of an issue with inaccuracy as it is coaching by Sparano and the other simpletons on out staff. It's like henne consciously thinks to thrown it over everyone's heads to avoid the int.

Anyway, I hope I'm wring but it will take a lot for me to be convinced the henne has what it takes. To me he just does not have that intangible mental makeup required to be an NFL QB. He is the anti-clutch, a choke, a spaz if you will. Total waste too as he has a legit rocket arm.

Keep it up Chad. Only a few are looking for you to fail.
i dont think anyone is actually ''ROOTING'' for Henne to fail. i think its more that some people feel he is not the answer at qb and dont think hes to good of a qb.

personally, after his 09 season, i was in love with henne despite how he still had more ints than tds that year. i was so excited to see what he would be able to do with marshall in 2010, and the offense as a whole.

unfortunately, after last season, my confidence dropped in Henne, as many others did to. It wasnt just the fact that his stats were bad, it was just watching him play. He stared down his receivers to much making it obvious who he was going to throw to, didnt seem like a leader like most qbs are, he had no pocket awareness, and it was just a very ugly scene in general. We can all sit here and say how henning was a reason, and i hated dan henning and thought he was terrible last season and am as happy as anyone that he is gone, but that does not hide the fact that henne was god awful last year, not just stat wise, but just in everything he did/ didnt do.

In the end, all the people who have lost a little confidence in Henne, including myself, would like nothing more than to see him lead us to great things, and the ultimate thing, the superbowl. we would all be happy and their is not one person here who actually would be pissed, despite what some people may think, if henne led us to great things. In the end we just want to win, and if henne can do that and rebound we will all be happy. No one is actually rooting for him to fail.

When does he Spaz? I think you make things up.. then you bring in marino.. its ppl like you that expect our QB to be on the same level as Marino that are pathetic.

Very well said.

Hm looking for it and expecting it aren't exactly one in the same. I would love for him to be successful, I just haven't seen anything in the past that shows me he will. I hope he goes out there and tears it up all season but I'm not going to expect anything. I'll take the only approach any one can take right now, "show me."

for those saying "show me" in regards to thier muted optimisim for henne's improvement(S), I hope you'll be just as reserved when he has a bad practice or play during preseason.

Depends how bad! Yes I keep the panic button relatively close. And it's not "muted optimism" here. I have expressed my appreciation for his progress.

Henne will be much better this year. Playmakers at running back, Marshall back in form, we could seriously use a legit number 2 receiver. Who is left out there? Sims walker been picked up yet?

I think that most know how I am pulling for Henne! This is great to read, but just like the bad, you take it for what it is....one day in a scrimmage. Hopefully it is a vision of what is to come!
