So I wanted to add and explain why I made my mock the way I did because I think people will question it.
1) Matt Ryan QB (I really do believe that he has all the tools to be a star NFL QB, he throws too many picks but looking at his games it looks like he forced alot of those throws to try and keep his team in the game, kind of like what Brett Favre does. John Beck is no spring chicken and he's a product of the old Mueller, Cam duo. I think Ireland/Parcells will want to bring in their own guy regardless of what Beck does. Don't get me wrong but I like Beck but I don't believe he will be ready for this season to lead this team, so with that if he isn't ready this year he's what 28-29 by the following season? Matt Ryan is the pick, if not take Chris Long, I love his intensity)
2a) Dan Connor LB (Regardless of what people may think, I feel Connor falls to the 2nd round like Poz did last year, I feel Ireland/Parcells takes BPA and Connor is it, he fits exactly what Tuna/Ireland look for in a player, build toward the future in this draft, a playmaker like Connor would be a welcome addition to this team. I think we need to realize that we aren't building to win NOW, we are building for the future, that is why I defend this pick.
2b) John Carlson TE (I look at what he could be able to do for this team and remind myself that he is a Tuna type of player. He would be a great weapon for the Qb's we would have on the team.)
3) Antoine Cason CB (I know what many of you think, you say, "Cason won't fall to round 3!" He will because he just won't have a great combine and will be passed up by lesser CB's who just measure better. I say look at the tape and you will see a true playmaker on D. Miami would be smart to snag him in the beginning of round 3)
I know my mock is not the norm you usually see. But, I believe that if you really look at it, its a great draft that really builds toward the future of this team, rather than trying to fit players to try and win right away.
