2009 draft, 2 rounds.

No FA, No trades, no franchise players bought into play. Just what I think the teams should do, and maybe in brackets what i THINK they will do. Plus I only see 1 game a week, so the players picked have been based on stats, comments, needs & you tube....

(Be gentle everyone...criticism accepted, abuse not required)

1. Detroit........Eugene Monroe, LT. The Lions need help everywhere, and I think they should look at what Miami did last year, and work on the same concept. Dont get a QB. Get lineman. Next year, they will still have the 1st pick, so they can get Sam Bradford. (I think they will pick Stafford this year. Management will still suck.)

2. Rams.........Michael OHER, L/T. Again., help the lines. They got one Long last year for the defence, now go the O Line. (Monroe, Detroit will get Stafford, Monroe will be the 2nd pick,)

3. KC............Aaron CURRY. LB. A shoe in for the Chiefs. There offence is OK, and Thigpen deserves a full year as a starter. There defence needs help. He brings it. (Curry)

4. Seattle.......Michael Crabtree, WR. Easy pick. easiest of the draft IMO.

5. Browns......Beanie Wells, RB. Lewis will slkow down quickly & this guy has the size & speed to make the Browns an offensive threat with the running game. (Jenkins, CB)

6. Cinci.........Andre SMITH, O/T. Again, a team that needs offensive lineman. An instant upgrade on most of the front 4.

7. Raiders.......Jason SMITH. O/T. Someone has to help Russell stay in the pocket & open holes for McFadden. (Maybe, just maybe Maclin here.)

8. Jags..........Rey Maleluga (SP) LB. Petersen is gone, and Rey steps in & takes his place.

9. Pack..........Brian ORAKPO, DE. Takes over from where KGB left off.

10. 49rs..........Malcolm Jenkins, CB. The 9rs need secondary help, and this bloke brings it. Best CB in the draft. I think other teams have slightly more pressing needs, thats why he fell to 10. (I think the 9rs will tab Sanchez in reality)

11. Bills..........Everett Brown DE. The bills need secondary help too, but I think if Brown is still aound, they will grab him.

12. Denver......Tyson Jackson, DE. There defence stunk. This bloke has the ability to change the way they play.

13 Skins.........Clint SINTIM, LB. How much longer for JT? London Fletcher is getting on. Problem solved

14 Saints........James Laurinatus ILB. Vilma may be gone, and this guy steps in & plays. Some knocks about his senior year being average, but the Saints need a fast LB, and this is him.

15. Texans......Vantae DAVIS, CB. The Texans need secondary help, and this guy is the best available to help there secondary. Good size & quick.

16. Chargers....BJ Raji. The best nose in the draft. Wont start straight away, but will replace Jamal Williams in a couple of years.

17. Jets.........Mat Stafford, QB. Really, who cares, but for the sake of the arguement, Favre is at best a maybe, Chad P is ours, so they gotta look. I dont think the Lions will pass on him with the 1st pick, but in my draft they do, & he will fall to here. (If Lions do grab him, then the Jets will pick a RB.)

18. Bears......Jeremy Maclin, WR. Who have they got? Hester. This pick is a no brainer. ( I still think they will grab a WR with their 1st pick, probably Percy Harvin)

19. Bucs.......Percey Harvin, WR. They need a WR, and he is a local. (In reality, the bears grab him, so I think they will tag Heywood Beys.)

20. Lions......Brian Cushing LB. More defensive help. Playmaker, although slightly injury prone.

21. Cards......Knowshon Moreno. RB. Edgerin James will have 1 more year, then this guy & Hightower will form a great tandem.

22. Vikings....Alex Mack, C. Can play all spots on the front line. tough, smart, versatile & strong.

23. Pats.......William Moore, S. An upgrade here over Sanders. Harrison is getting on in years, so the replacement is picked.

24. Atlanta......Duke Robinson. G. Will backup Dahl & Blalock, then start for Dahl.

25. Miami......Rashad Johnson. S. Toss up between him & Delmas. Both will upgrade the secondary.

26. Ravens....DJ Moore, CB. Will strengthen an already strong secondary. I don't think the Ravens need a lot of help......There strong pretty much everywhere.

27. Indy....Fili MOALA, DT. Indy struggled a bit last year defensivly against the run, and he can help.

28. Philly....Ebon Britton. OT Has good size, and can blass & pass protect. .

29. NYG....Alphonso Smith, CB. Not tall, but hits & knows where to find the ball. Will replace Sam Madison & Dockery.

30. Tennesee..Darius Heywood Beys. WR. Big, strong, fast. McCarins isnt the answer at WR. This guy can be.

31. Philly....Aaron Maybin. DE. A luxury pick. Can be a good pass rusher with more experience.

32. Steelers....Louis Delmas, S. If we select him, then Steelers will grab Johnson....

Funny thing is, two draft sites that I have been looking at still have the cards at 21. I thought it was odd, but thats what I got my info from. One is the draft countdown site.

i like those first 3 picks for us so far...a FS,NT,&C as our first 3 picks,i'm ok with that...we can get both LB positions, and a few more Guard positions filled in the other rounds, plus depth at some of those positions as we go...

I'm down with that too... still think a C can be picked in the third rd... there are 5 of them and there won't be one going in the first.., and all aren't going in the second...

Looks like there will be a run on 3/4 OLB and NTs

delmas in the first if that is what you are going for. delmas is better than the overhyped Johnson.

pretty damn good mock man.

best i have seern so far and the pics at there spots are not out
of the question.

then in the 3rd go:

JUAQIN IGLASIAS, wr georgia. caught absolutely EVERYTHING at the senior
bowl practices and game. great routes and speration. open ALL game.

in the 4th.......

ROBERT AYERS: DE is a need. you cant have to many and vonnies days
are numbered. guy is a beast, i dont care about his experiance. he was
a stud ata major school and dominated in the senior bowl practices and
had a great s/b game.

in the 6th.....

HOWARD [HOUSE] JOHNSON: OT lsu. 6-6 388lb monster with more muscle than
lard. you CANT get around him unless he trips. would anchor the rt side for years
and cary will probably be gone.

i dont think most of our 7ths will be there. they will be used to trade around some
how.

that is what i would add to the mock.

Brace and Wood would be sweet

put Sintim or English in round 1 and it would be awesome

didnt Igleasias go to OU?

I think Jonathan Luigs of Arkansas is just as good, if not better, than Wood of Louisville at Center. Hopefully we can draft a bigger Center and move Satele to RG.

I guess you mean Herman Johnson and he is projected as a 2nd rounder. He also played well in the Senior Bowl. No way he lasts til the 6th

Robert Ayers is also projected as 2nd round

Other than a few issues, not that bad compared to others I've seen. There's no way Stafford will slip that far down. Any other year and I might buy that, but not after a year where teams watched rookies like Ryan and Flacco bring their teams so much success.

aside from a the order miss cue, not bad overall, but a couple issues.

1.Stafford will not fall that low. IMO he doesn't make it past KC.

2.Oher is not worth the 2nd overall pick.

3.With your reasoning for the Vikings, I think you meant to draft Max Unger. Mack is a center, Unger can play any position.

4.I like Rashad Johnson as a 2nd round pick, but not a first.
