I'm putting the JT trade in there just because. I'm also doing one without...This is assuming we trade JT for #26 (Jax) as has been mentioned.

#1 Jake Long OT Michigan
#26 Harvey or Groves or Campbell DE/OLB
#32 Dustin Keller TE Purdue
#57 Tracy Porter CB Indiana
#64 Chilo Rachal OG USC

I don’t know. Not sure on your #1, and you didn’t properly identify what positions “Harvey” and “Groves” play. Are you talking “Harvey” from the Sun-sentinel (talks a 4.3 and plays Inside Reporter). As far as “Groves,” orange or grapefruit?

Seriously, that looks reasonable to me.

:)

I like parts of it. Honestly though, Harvey won't be there at 26. Groves would be the pick there. Dustin Keller doesn't fit our offensive Scheme. H-back and not a true TE. Tracy Porter I like but I don't think he will fall there. I like the OG pick up in round 3 but I would rather have Greco.

Something that would look more like this if the trade happend.

#1 Jake Long OT Michigan
#26 Quentin Groves OLB/DE Auburn
#32 Antoine Cason CB Arizona or Tracy Porter CB Indiana
#57 Martellus Bennett TE Texas A&M
#64 John Greco OG Toledo

That would give me a stiffy till TC.

Campbell is not worth the 26th pick IMHO, Harvey wont last til #26, and there is no way we will get #26 for JT. But I love the picks, that would be awesome! :woot:

I really dont think we can get a 1st for JT I think we could easily get a 2nd rounder and maybe a 5th or 6th to go along with it, and I would be OK with it thats just my opinion.

GO PHINS!!!!!!

i agree with nando corner back is such a huge need for us behind tackle our secondary has sucked since madison and surtain era cason is the best in the draft and in the country out of college. Arizona also produces all pro db's why is no one sold on him if he is there at 32

Agreed, Cason is an excellent prospect. But I still believe our #1 priority will be another OT at 2a if there's a TOP prospect still on the board.

the only problem with that statement is we need so much that you cannot focus on one position with our early round pics you have to draft four different players to fill holes
so i wouldnt count on to OT with our two top picks:woot:
AND FINALLY A GUY WHO HAS BRAINS WITH THE COMMENT ABOVE THIS ONE
HE PLAYED IN ARGUABLE THE 2ND TOUGHEST CONFERENCE AND PUT OP HIS BEST STATS YET HE WILL BE A PRO BOWLER

I'm not making the picks in this draft but if I'm Jeff Ireland I am having a hard time trying to pick between Groves and Cason if they are both there with #32. If miraculously we get Jax to bite on JT and can pick up Groves at 27, that will drive the CB's down the board a little and give us a shot at Cason. I feel like I would take Groves over Cason and hope that he falls. Should he not fall then maybe Porter will be there at #57. If we don't get that extra pick I'm hoping for something like this.

#1 Jake Long OT Michigan
#32 Quentin Groves OLB/DE Auburn
#57 Tracy Porter or Orlando Scandrick CB Boise St.
#64 John Greco OG Toledo
#100 Kellen Davis TE Michigan State

That would be an amazing draft. It's not going to happen but it would be great if it did.

I would actually prefer a 2nd and 4th for JT rather than a 1st. We have so many holes to fill, and draft is deep at a few important positions.

Also trade our 1st pick in rd 3 for a 3rd and a 5th.

1 J.Long-OT, mich
2 Q. Groves-OLB/DE, auburn
2 A.Cason-CB, ariz
2 P.wheeler-ILB, g.tech
3 J.Nelson-WR, kan.st
4 K. Davis, TE-mich st.
4 K.Brown-OG, app. st.
5 J. Parmele-RB, toledo
6 E.Ainge-QB, tenn
6 J.Shirley-DT, fresno st.
7 K. Langford, DE-Hampton
7 C.Cambell-S, Army

...basically fills all holes except FB
