My new Mock Draft

I can see Smith at 25...even if it's a reach...but two OLB's in the second round? Brother, now thats a reach.

I would be happy if our draft went down like that. Not sure of the Freeman pick but you do make a good point. All defence in the first 3 picks I definitely love.

I can't believe how far some people have Vontae Davis falling. It is certainly going to be interesting when we are on the board and who is there for the taking.

We've been interested in Jason Williams a bit too. They'll look to grab a guy they can have cover the flats. They'll need it with Crowder and Ayodele matched up like that.

He may not be the physical hitter you'd like, but he is athletic enough to handle it.

The question is who else will be there that they could use to operate this scheme. There is a habit of taking outside linebackers and making them inside backers with this regime so look out for it at some point.

But again, who would the team take later to fill that role? Maybe Tyronne McKenzie, but he is even less physical than Freeman, and how far can Jason Williams be counted on to fall given his ability to flow to the ball?

I don't see Freeman on Boomers list...does that interest you?

Everyone has Sanchez going to Denver. I think Kyle Orton could actually be good in that offense. Denver also has two 1st rounders next year if Orton doesn't cut it, and next years QB class looks much better than this years draft.

I think KC goes with Curry. Zach Thomas isn't an every down player anymore. Vrabel is old. After this year they will have some big holes at the LB position, and I think Pioli understands how important LB position is.

No because I know we've met with him.

It surprised me when I saw it, but we did.

You can keep digging if you wish, but we did meet with him.

I believe you...just going by Boomers list.

Hey, I could very easily be wrong. Considering theres 300+ people to keep track of I'm bound to get a wire crossed somewhere. If I am mistaken I'd rather know so that I can make a correction and make a pick on correct information, or better at least.

Yeah, but an ILB for a 3-4? That position is valued a little different. And Mayo they traded down to still pick him. If they didn't take him, he may have fallen a little further down the line.

Every draft...many of us are wrong...so whats new? You never know Conuficus...maybe Parcells has a few tricks still?

It would not shock me at all to see the Fins go Defense with all 3 first day picks nor would it shock me if they took Sean Smith with their first pick. It would shock me if they passed on Laurinaitis at 44 in favor of Sintim as I think Sintim has a good chance of being available at 56. Nonetheless, a good haul overall for the Fins that would solidify our defense quite a bit. I would not be thrilled with this as our first day but I would not be disappointed either. Unfortunately, this may be a more realistic mock draft than most.

i personally cannot see smith at 25.. thats way to big of a reach.. he has excellent size, but he has trouble keeping up with speedy WR and he wont cut it vs elite nfl wide outs

I am gonna pissed if we pass on Hakeem Nicks for Sean Smith!! There will be CB talent comparable to Sean Smith available with our 44 pick, but there will be imo no where near the talent available at WR at 44 in comparison to Nicks.
