1. B.Cushing OLB/ILB Great athlete that will move inside for us. Injuries have been a problem in the past but the talent is too good to pass up here.

2. R.Johnson FS Nick Saben may be the anti-christ to phin fans but he certainly knows the college game and calls Johnson the smartest safety he's ever coached. Exactly what the doctor ordered for our secondary.

2. J.Gilbert DT He'll play DE for us while P.Merling moves to the SOLB, great penetrator that has great upside and is rapidly moving up the draft boards.

3. R.Barden WR 6'6 has hop's and hands but needs to improve his route running but will get plenty of time to develope. Say bye bye to Wilford, thank goodness.

4. T.Taylor NT I really want Brace but I believe he'll go earlier then anyone expects. Taylor's a power lifter that will eventually take over from Fergy in due time.

5. X.Fulton OT A powerful man that kicks butt in the run game. He will add depth at OT and if the Guards we have get hurt again VC could go inside and allow Fulton to eventually start at RT.

7. A.Dixon NT A player that was highly regarded before his knee injury, can only be a bonus to us if he can get back to past expectations.

7. J.Mauga ILB Huge tackling machine that requires surgery before the combine, brought in for future depth.

7. W.Osaisai CB Fast, tall kid that can learn from Allen and Robinson.

We will re-sign V.Carey, Y.Bell and R.Hill allowing the others to walk.

P.Merling moves to the SOLB to help out Roth.
S.Satele becomes our back up to Center and Guard

We have a tonne of cap space and after dumping Holliday, Wilford and having dead cap space gone from JT and ZT we can afford some darn good FA pick ups.

FA

We sign .....

J.Brown C to lead the interior of the Oline. Baltimore decides to keep investing into the defense, thank you Baltimore.

K.Dansby ILB With what seems like half the team being FA or RFA and Boldin wanting a bigger pay day they have to let some guys go that they feel they can replace.

D.Robinson CB I might just be dreaming here but I believe he'll be available or at the least B.McFadden from Pitts.

one OL in your mock, and he's a 5th rounder...no way...i'll bet we take 2 OL within the first 4 rds...

ya all in all, not a very good draft. we are drafting a injury prone ILB, the 3rd best FS, a DE!!!?????, and a 4/5th string receiver in the first 3 rounds. ya sounds a hell ova lot like a parcells draft.

and if we get ANY of those guys u said in your FA, we should all buy some lotto tix, because it would be our lucky day. robinson is houston's number 1 priority. J. Brown WILL B the first Raven signed, and Dansby will be the number 1 priority for the Cardinals. we wont get any of them.

When they become unavailable I'll change focus but until then the dream is alive.

i would literally **** in my pants if we had those first four players and those 3 free agents... i'd be more than happy.

Makes no sense to dump Wilford to draft his clone in Barden....none whatsoever. WIlford's problem was route running and quickness. that's Barden's problem. Not.

Brian Cushing inside in a 3-4? come on now. the guy is a 4-3 cover lb if i ever saw one.

That's incorrect. Cushing is a prototypical 3-4 LB, with the versatility to play any LB spot in the 3-4. If you don't believe me, you can read the pro scouting reports on him.

Wilford has proven he can't play for us, Barden has a boat load of potential. Potential will cost us alittle more than league minimum and will get 3/4 years to pan out (hopefully sooner). Wilford will get an opportunity to prove his worth to another team.

Yep that is how I look at predicting FA/draft as well. If you would have said Merling in the 2nd round last year you would have got laughed at because he was mocked in the top 20 by almost everybody. Until free agency starts, or draft day, whatever u predict is reasonable until it does NOT happen.

Anyways, I think it is a real good mock. I think we can shift Cushing inside with Dansby, and have Merling and Roth man that SOLB, with Porter and Wake on the other side. Still great depth on the interior with Ayodele and Torbor and by adding Gilbert we still revamped the DLine with Langford, Gilbert, Starks and Wright/Dotson.

U got us a ball hawking FS, obviously I like Delmas more because he shoudl be able to play the run better, but Johnson may have the better instincts and ball hawking ability. Delmas may not make it to our pick either, Johnson should.

Also by getting Robinson in the draft, our CB unit looks great with Goody, Allen and Robinson. We add a CB to groom in the draft, I"m guessing we give Jason Allen this offseason to see if he makes it a CB . . . regardless I see us going CB real early next year.

I'm not as high on Barden as others, but u gotta love the potential, size and talent he possesses.

Taylor is strong as they come, he may take a year or 2 to get his motivation strong and work ethic up, but hey could be a jewel down the line. Regardless by picking up Dixon, u covered yourself, I like both guys.

And u got us the OT depth we sorely needed. I don't know why people want to draft to OL in the first 4 rounds? Why? So we can cut them after the preseason? We have Long, Carey, Brown, Smiley, Thomas, Satele . . . that is six guys . . . we needed OT depth, u got us a 5th round OT in this draft, perfect for depth and grooming. So that is 7 . . . then we have about 5 or 6 guards . . . u mean to tell me we can't get 2 of these guys for depth? Ndukwe is young and can play OT as well, so he seems like he should be a keeper, especially with the expereince he gained this season. We also have a 4th rounder in Murphy, who may make the jump this season. U can't have 9 all stars on the OLine, u need guys to bring along, and the guys we have got talent . . . Sparano got rid of his OLine coach, that says something about how he felt he was doing with this oLine.

Overall I would be happy with this draft. Going into 2010 a CB is the big need with the Will Allen contract up after this season
