Actually, not to bogart your question, but having more picks is better. The draft is a crap shoot, the more picks you have the better chance you have at striking it rich with a good player. Its like the lottery, the more tickets you buy, the better your chances of winning something.

there isnt many people in the draft that will turn out being a colsten. so what are the chances of us getting one this year. not good. plus it is only giving up one pick (a third round pick) to get a franchise QB. we wouldnt have to look for a QB of 10 years. i think he would fit well in miami, and win us a superbowl. i really think so. so anyway who would you rather take in the third round instead of us having a franchise QB for the next ten years DOMINNIZO

Since 82, 52 QBs have been taken in the First round. 8 of them of captained their team to superbowls. For all we know a 3rd QB will be a franchise type guy, and someone else we grab at #9 will be a franchise type guy at another position. Just saying, don't yell at me.:D

I'd trade up in the 1st round to get Brady Quinn. This team needs a QB. If Quinn and Landry are gone by 9 then Miami should try to trade down. Say the top 8 picks, in no particular order, are Russell, Quinn, Peterson, Johnson, Thomas, Adams, Anderson, and Landry. In my opinion there is no player left worth taking at 9. Branch would be decent value for 9 but I don't think the defensive line is a concern. Levi Brown would be considered but I think he's a reach at 9. I'd be willing to trade down anywhere from 15-25 and grab an extra pick or 2. Maybe Brown would fall in that range or they could get somebody like Hall, Revis, Bowe, Jarrett, or Ginn.
